I stop by Monday through Friday like it’s part of my morning routine, because honestly, at this point, it is. My go to drink is a large sugar free Golden Eagle, hot. I love it so much that I usually order two. One for my commute to Dallas, and one for the rest of my morning. And yes, by the time I’m writing this, commute coffee is already gone.

The ladies at the window are flat out amazing. Special shout out to Jackie, who may honestly be the funniest leader of any business I’ve ever come across. Her sense of humor and ability to make people smile early in the morning is hard to beat.

Now, as a gentleman in my 50s, I’ve learned a lot from this younger generation. Case in point, I had no idea I needed Crocs until Dutch Bros got involved. One giveaway Wednesday, I was offered some complimentary charms. For those of us who struggle with fancy words, complimentary means free. Don’t feel bad, it took me a minute too.

I accepted them proudly, opened them up, and had absolutely no idea what they were. I was then educated that they go into Crocs. Next thing you know, I felt obligated to buy a pair. Lo and behold, I found a camouflage pair that now perfectly complements my Dutch Bros charms. Stunning, honestly.

I’ve also collected their stickers, and naturally, I put them all over my college aged daughter’s laptop without her knowing. She later opened it at a certain green and white coffee shop, and let’s just say the reactions were priceless. Best laugh of my week.

So if you want great coffee, great service, hilarious morning energy, stickers, charms, and possibly a new Crocs addiction, go visit Dutch Bros in The Colony.

“Kolaches (or kolbasneks if you wanna be prissy about it) here vary. When they're good they are astounding and when they're not good, it's mildly disappointing. Like I would avoid the ones with eggs because despite what the sign says, it's always almost exclusively eggs. Just about every other one is top tier. Even the standard jalapeno and cheese is one of the best I've had outside of Czech Stop, and much more local.“
