After we were seated, our server surprised her with a special birthday treat, she was so overwhelmed with emotion, and it was truly the sweetest gesture. “Nice upscale place on the waterway close to the concert venue. Service by our waiter Hunter was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the atmosphere felt upscale but relaxed. Side note...on a hot humid day, do not let them sit you at the table next to the back door. Its opened and closed constantly and you will be hot and cold the enitre meal.“

“We would definitely go back. Our server was exceptional. My plate was very good however my husband's steak was out of this world. I had shrimp and scallops but once my husband gave me a bite of his steak I was like holy cow 😅. The cocktails were equally delicious. We had whiskey cocktails. The lobster bisque was mm mm delicious 😋. Your paying for ALL of this good stuff lol but it's worth it.“

“Went for brunch yesterday with friends and the customer service was top notch!!! Genuinely kind staff who went above and beyond for us. My youngest has FA and they greeted us upon entry and let me know how to discuss the allergens with the staff. We got the counter to order and I kept it simple with just bacon and fruit for my ANA kid to make it easier on everyone but the staff member made sure to let the kitchen know about cross contamination. When we looked at desserts the staff was highly knowledgeable about what desserts had allergens and which had cross. Their knowledge of ingredients and honesty over a sale was phenomenal. On top of that, there was a young gentlemen (whose name I can’t remember) but he ensured our food was perfect and that we enjoyed our meal. Just kind people all around. It was such a nice and relaxing time out that we usually don’t get with FA. Thank you so much for this. Will be back.“

After I got a delicious pie, hand crafted by Jhonatan Murillo and his coworker Patricio Mares, my friends locked me out of my car by leaving the keys inside the car. After closing up shop, Jhonatan and Patricio stayed for 3 hours trying to help me open the car door and they succeeded. Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have wonderful people around the woodlands. They were exhausted after closing, and still found time in their busy schedule to stay and help a customer. Burger was cooked perfect and Mgr Jeannie brought me over a sampling of homemade chips with sauces. Their onion rings and fries are top notched. Everything done in house. They bring your food and clear the table. Recommend a visit. All the employees were really nice and friendly.“

The price was more than fair and the portions were large I'm very excited about having the leftovers for lunch. I had Sichuan eggplant and my husband had general tso Chicken. Both were exceptional. While the hibachi dishes left much to be desired – with fishy-tasting soup, mediocre fried rice, and average steak – the sushi, particularly the fish's size and quality, earned high praise from my husband, a Tokyo native. Yet, inconsistencies in rice texture across rolls and the unappetizing presentation of rice spilling from the sides marred the sushi experience. The restaurant's ambiance was undeniably beautiful, but the unsightly vents on the ceiling detracted from its overall appeal. Moreover, our encounter with the manager, Kristie, soured the experience further. Despite making a reservation, navigating the nuances of hibachi dining on OpenTable proved challenging, leading to an unpleasant interaction with Kristie upon arrival. Her demeanor lacked hospitality, and her approach to handling reservations felt unwelcoming and unnecessary. Despite these setbacks, the allure of high-quality sushi draws us back, albeit to the alternative location to bypass any potential encounters with Kristie. Sakekawa may have its flaws, but for sushi aficionados seeking top-notch fish, it remains a contender in The Woodlands’ sushi scene.“

“I used to go to the other location for years before it closed. Luckily the food was consistent and delicious. Not sure what's up with the server though. She was borderline a little rude. Crazy part is I watched her talk with I guess regulars. Quite the chatty Kathy with them. Not that I needed her to chat it up but you could definitely tell the difference of how she treats people. Maybe I just put off a bad vibe or something. Anyway the super southern combo was delicious and that's all I really cared about.“
