“Went for my birthday with family, our waiter was great, he answered all of our questions and addressed any concerns. The oysters were wonderful, I ordered the special. It was very good. The only part that was disappointing was how loud it was with the hustle and bustle, as well we were sat by a large group and 2 of the gentle spoke very loudly. We had to keep leaning over the table to hear each other talk. It is not the restaurant fault they cant help that. But overall we will go back to the woodlands location. It was a great experience.“

“Brie was an amazing server! We came in for a quick snack on the patio and decided on the salmon tartare. I had a glass of red wine, and my husband had a white. The wine selection was great, and the service was even better. Brie was attentive, friendly, and made our experience so enjoyable. We will definitely be back, and we’ll be requesting Brie every time. “We ate off of the lunch menu today! The Catfish Acadia, Chicken Picatta, Tricolor Pasta with Alfredo (kids) and Burger (kids) were delicious! Literally, cooked to perfection. The chocolate tort, beignets were so delicious. All of the staff were so considerate and kind. A huge shout out to Chef Kaven, Daniel & Juan who enhanced our experience with their presence & service. Burger was cooked perfect and Mgr Jeannie brought me over a sampling of homemade chips with sauces. Their onion rings and fries are top notched. Everything done in house. They bring your food and clear the table. Recommend a visit. All the employees were really nice and friendly.“

After I got a delicious pie, hand crafted by Jhonatan Murillo and his coworker Patricio Mares, my friends locked me out of my car by leaving the keys inside the car. After closing up shop, Jhonatan and Patricio stayed for 3 hours trying to help me open the car door and they succeeded. Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have wonderful people around the woodlands. They were exhausted after closing, and still found time in their busy schedule to stay and help a customer. While the hibachi dishes left much to be desired – with fishy-tasting soup, mediocre fried rice, and average steak – the sushi, particularly the fish's size and quality, earned high praise from my husband, a Tokyo native. Yet, inconsistencies in rice texture across rolls and the unappetizing presentation of rice spilling from the sides marred the sushi experience. The restaurant's ambiance was undeniably beautiful, but the unsightly vents on the ceiling detracted from its overall appeal. Moreover, our encounter with the manager, Kristie, soured the experience further. Despite making a reservation, navigating the nuances of hibachi dining on OpenTable proved challenging, leading to an unpleasant interaction with Kristie upon arrival. Her demeanor lacked hospitality, and her approach to handling reservations felt unwelcoming and unnecessary. Despite these setbacks, the allure of high-quality sushi draws us back, albeit to the alternative location to bypass any potential encounters with Kristie. Sakekawa may have its flaws, but for sushi aficionados seeking top-notch fish, it remains a contender in The Woodlands’ sushi scene.“
