“We came all the way from Leon Valley to try Maria’s Cafe, and it was absolutely worth the drive! This little hole-in-the-wall spot has such a homey, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. It was our first time eating here, and we were so impressed.
They made our food exactly the way we wanted it, paying attention to every detail and making sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they serve.
We’ll definitely be coming back for more. If you’re looking for a cozy place with great food and friendly service, Maria’s Cafe is a must-try!“

“I just ate there today I had the asada plate & my mom got the cheeseburger w/fries & my husband had the Nicks tacos & we all 100% recommend this place to eat. Also was a very clean restaurant & friendly/nice waitress she did check up on us multiple times. All around great food & great service. we will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. 👍“

“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visitors to San Antonio to eat at the Blue Moon.“

“If you’re looking for amazing carne guisada enchiladas, this is the spot. The meat was seasoned just right and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Paired with the rich, flavorful sauce, these enchiladas were unforgettable. Hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I love supporting small businesses so we will definitely be back.“

“Really enjoyed dinner! I had the beef enchiladas and they were going up against one of my top places. Tacos El Rey does not disappoint. The carne guisada with cheese was fair to decent but did not top my other location. Overall I’ll be recommending and coming back.“

“Excellent restaurant. Tortillas were handmade - tender but with enough body not to fall apart around taco fillings. Food was well prepared, with lots of flavor. Papas rancheras and bewn and cheese were on point. Highly recommend and will be returning for more on the menu. Friendly and attentive service and great value.
