“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visitors to San Antonio to eat at the Blue Moon.“

“If you’re looking for amazing carne guisada enchiladas, this is the spot. The meat was seasoned just right and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Paired with the rich, flavorful sauce, these enchiladas were unforgettable. Hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I love supporting small businesses so we will definitely be back.“

“Consistent service. Food is always hot and made to order. The breakfast tacos are fat and priced low. This is a regular for workday mornings. Took my put of state mother in law and she was shocked by the affordability and quality of the food. The staff is kind and green salsa is perfect. Not too hot and salted to perfection. Feels like your at your Tias house and it's always clean inside.“

“Omg, I found the absolute best Carne Guisada Tacos in all of San Antonio. This place was delicious...its just a small place off Castroville rd. I happend to be in the area because of a doctor's visit. Im telling you, a must try if you love breakfast tacos...friendly staff, very inexpensive, they have multiple taco deals. Please a must support if you love tacos!“

“The look of the place used to be very nice, it is not bad. But the lighting is that of a hospital or prison cafeteria. ( as portrayed by film and TV no personal experience) but there is no ambiance. But the workers bust their hide to keep it clean and to serve the community quality food , please try the queso with everything.“
