“A group of ladies came together for a Christmas exchange of gifts, good conversation, and good food. I ordered a ham and Swiss cheese on rye with chips. The rye bread was fresh and the ham was a thick slice. The sandwich was very good. I also ordered a cupcake and I was a bit disappointed with it. It was very dry and crumbly and the icing tasted commercial. The serving of apple pie one lady got was generous and the cookies were very good. Prices were quite reasonable. Plenty of seating in the cafe. It was a very nice lunch.“

My husband had the biscuits and gravy and he said it was the best that he had ever had, that it was even better than his mom’s! “Ordered the chicken fried steak from Uber Eats and it was not good at all.. wasn't fresh, more breaded with less meat and the part that had meat it was chewy.. will not be ordering that again.. fried okra was ok needed a little salt, corn casserole-not good, had burnt taste, fried zucchini squash was ok just needed a little seasoning. Overall, I wasn't satisfied.. my favorite go to meal from here is chicken and waffles 🧇 and that's what I will stick with and that's the only reason I gave the food 4 stars.“

HUGE shout out to the workers on the shift around 1ish. Even though they were in a huge rush they still made my drinks amazing and in a timely manner. They bring you home made fresh rolls and cornbread to the table so beware that you will fill up before you get your meal. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Yes sugar high inducing delights that flood you with memories of Christmas shopping in the late 80s with your grandma and you took a break in the food court before hitting up sears for some sweet flannel. She let you get a cookie the size of your head or one packed with frosting. Yes I now spoil my kids on their birthday with this mess of sugar. Always dear to my heart.“

“I was pleasantly surprised with Soulfreak! Would definitely recommend visiting for coffee and with the kids. It's conveniently located in the park, the play area is just out side and you can even monitor your kids if your inside because of the big windows.

Lots of outdoor seating, too and all shaded by the huge oak trees. Overall, just a really relaxing atmosphere. I'm a remote worker, and always looking for the new, best coffee shop. Can't wait to go back again!“

“I highly recommend this Café. I ordered to go as I’m leaving state after breakfast, but the girl that helped me carry my drinks out was super sweet. Not being from Texas I was curious about everything on the land and she was very informative (I should’ve gotten her name). I ordered the Sycamore 2s which was 2 pancakes (choice of 1/2 waffle or 2 slices French toast), 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon (choice of sausage also). I got my son an order of French toast, and a friend the brunch burger. Everything was AMAZING. The server mentioned Mondays they have a mimosa special (she told me exactly but I forget it). I like over medium eggs and this is the first place I’ve been that’s gotten my eggs PERFECT the first time around. It’s an adorable little café and there’s a wedding venue in the back. I highly recommend trying their food if you haven’t before. I took photos but it won’t let me add them to my review.“
