“We love this place. The food is fantastic and always on point. The service can be hit or miss. We ordered appetizers and others at our table ordered appetizers and drinks. The drinks finally came and appetizers started showing up after they finished the fried rice, which if anyone has been to a hibachi grill knows it takes a while to get to that point. Ours never came. Our server was nowhere to be found. Service was not good but I still tipped well because they share with the cooks, who let’s be honest, are the stars and deserve to be rewarded for the show and quality.“

“I'm not very familiar with the area, but I found your restaurant and decided to try it. I was clueless about what to order, but Piper was there and helped me create my first bowl. It was a little expensive, but well worth it. There is ample parking, and the restaurant was very clean, even the restroom. I told my brother and sister about the place, and now they want to visit. “Dining at Aki Sushi. I had a fantastic experience at Aki Sushi with my wife. We started with steamed dumplings, which were delightful. My wife had the tonkatsu ramen, a dish bursting with fresh flavors, along with the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu sashimi. I tried the smoked brisket ramen, a unique and delicious dish, and unagi with foie gras sushi wow !!! is all I have to say about that one. We also enjoyed a salmon skin roll, one of my favorites. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff ensuring a memorable meal. Aki Sushi stands out with their fresh wasabi ground tableside and fresh, never-frozen bluefin tuna. Highly recommend for anyone who loves sushi and ramen!“

“We came across Koyo after I googled looking for sushi places in my area. I had never heard of Koyo before. This place is so good and the sushi is fresh. We ordered the scallop crudo and edamame to start. The crudo was so good I forgot to take photos of everything else. I was just too excited to eat everything. We had the 5 hand roll set, brown butter enoki mushroom, spicy tuna, and eel rolls. Everything was top notch. We also ordered the flight of 4 sauces. Our favorite were the chili oil crisp and the ponzu mayo. It’s bar seating only and I’m short, so the only thing I would change is adding a bar at the bottom of the chairs or bar to be able to rest feet. Food, atmosphere, service were all 10/10. My husband and I want to become regulars here. I’m so happy we have this option in our area now. We have only ever been able to eat at these types of restaurants in Houston.“

The owner, Chef Ruben, is highly skilled at what he does and offers the best customer service ever! Every time I come, I always feel welcomed as a long time friend. If you're ever in the area or need a quick pick-up, I would highly recommend this place. Being completely honest, I think I prefer this spot over an actually restaurant, it's so yummy!“

“The service was just a little slow for the amount of people there in the beginning. But after we placed our orders it was pretty fast. The original sushi taco was good but that sushi burrito was delicious 😋 👌. I would definitely go again to try other flavors of the sushi tacos. I did feel it was a but pricy but then I remembered it is sushi so that's to be expected.“

“Great place to eat. Good food, atmosphere and Especially Good Habatchi food preparation show. Been coming here since kids were small now they are all bringing their kids. This is a good location for casual dinning, datenight,family night, or special occasion. Great selection of drinks, including hot or chilled sake ,wine , etc, plus fountain drinks and teas. I highly recommend the Hibatchi meals ,the house salad and tempura vegetables. A great and friendly place for all occasions so I would gladly give this location solid 4 stars. Come enjoy the atmosphere the drinks and most of all enjoy the food.“
