“My wife and I ate here tonight 12/29/2025. We were greeted immediately upon entering and were seated quickly. Our waitress was Lauren who was at our table after being seated. She provided excellent service and is very knowledgeable of the menu, and made great recommendations for our meal. We both had the 10 ounce sirloin steaks that were grilled to perfection. Lauren checked on us routinely to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks again for a great dinner !!!”

“We’ve been coming to Walk-on’s monthly, sometimes weekly, since they opened during the pandemic. This weekend, we decided to try another restaurant that opened recently with a very similarly-themed name. We were so unimpressed, and inadvertently compared our whole experience to Walk-on’s, which we seem to frequently do. Walk-on’s is consistently great. The service, the food, the bar drinks, all great. Everything is decently priced. I feel like the waitstaff is unique. We’ve never had bad service, even in the busiest times (which we try to avoid but in a college town, that’s sometimes unavoidable). There are lots of great options on the menu and the skinny margarita is one of the best in town. Consistently good, clean, great staff and just a really well-rounded restaurant.”

“I have been a student for 3 years and going to this salata every other day. The workers are world-class and genuinely extremely nice people. The food is delicious and they are always asking about my day. This is the best spot to eat on campus as it is really healthy and if you have the app the points make the food cheaper.

“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.”

“Electric and fun atmosphere. Simple chairs and crowd is a mix of students and family. The food is simply great with spice level options. I prefer having my bread toasted and crispy but it’s not their style.”

“Listen. If you are in BCS and don’t eat here. It’s a crime. Seriously the best fried chicken I have had in the 35 years since my Great Grandmother passed. One bite and time fell away and I was a kid at Gma’s house. There is a reason it’s called soul food.”

“New Year's Eve at the Reveille Bar was great, with one exception. Neither of the bartenders working that night knew how to mix drinks. It took my date 45 minutes to get through the line. When she got to the front, the bartenders were having to look up recipes on their phones.

I'd suggest that in the future for similar events you limit drink service at the rooftop bar to beer, wine, and shots only, and tell people wanting mixed drinks to go down to the main bar on the first floor. It would work out better for everyone.

“We have had many great meals at Casa do Brasil in College Station. My husband instantly knew where to take me for lunch today for my birthday. We had the awesome salad bar lunch. the shrimp stroganoff was excellent. The terrific waiters sent me home with a complimentary Brazilian coffee flan with carmel sauce. I am truly enjoying it now. Thanks for a great birthday.”

“10/10, they have fast service and are kind. I asked questions to see what would fit best and the staff was very accommodating!! Brisket was so amazing, I didn’t even need a knife to cut it, it broke apart perfectly. Sausage was cheesy and great, and the mac and cheese was so tasty. I recommended to my parents and will be back when they come up to visit!!”

“We had a fantastic dinner last night. In addition to the great food and service, we enjoyed participating in Mash Madness. The staff helped arrange a surprise flight of special bourbons for my husband, and the owner came and chatted with us about bourbon and whisky. It was a very memorable evening!”

“The moment we walked in the door we were greeted so kindly. We were a little intimidated with the menu as they were foods we have never tried but Julie our waitress was literally superb! She walked us through the menu from drinks to eats and she was just so knowledgeable in what we shared what we liked and the chef hit the nail on the head with all the amazing flavors in the food, we definitely will be coming back to this place on our future date nights.”
