“The ambiance at this restaurant is truly exceptional, and the food is great. However, I believe there's room for improvement in the vegetarian options; some dishes were explicitly unavailable ( The curries had shrimp paste in them, which cannot be removed ) in vegetarian versions. Nevertheless, it's a fantastic spot for a date night, with a bustling atmosphere and live music adding to the charm. I highly recommend trying the Vegan Yellow Curry—it was a standout dish, even though I initially hesitated to order it. As for cocktails, the Tropical Asian was absolutely fantastic.Vegetarian options: I recommend talking to the waiter before you order as the base of veg curries also have shrimp paste which cannot be removed.“

“What a gem! The absolute best bahn mi in Austin! Plus they have espresso/coffee drinks now! And they give you a free cup of soup while you wait. Their new renovations also improved the atmosphere in a big way.The owner makes her own bread everyday, in addition to the entire pastry case (don’t leave without a dessert)!!I love going here for business meetings or when I’m meeting up with friends for lunch. Nobody I’ve taken here ever goes there and leaves unimpressed.I love the pork belly bahn mi & her sesame sweet bread. The owner always recognizes me when I come in & memorized my order. :)“

“100% halal and It was so good! Highly recommend the cashew chicken it’s a family favorite now! We also got the drunken noodles which were the perfect spice level at level 3. And we got the pepper steak which was perfectly tender and delicious! They were the sweetest two ladies running the truck and food was a good quantity. There was even parking near the food truck which is surprising! Best Thai food in Austin fs!“

“Khon easily serves the best authentic Thai food I’ve had in Austin. The staff is exceedingly friendly, and the restaurant is very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. My table got several orders of chicken soft bones as appetizers, which were amazing and paired extremely well with alcohol, especially beer. It’s a unique menu item I haven’t seen at any other restaurant, but I wish it was more common! Definitely became one of my favorite foods to snack on. The fried tofu was also outstanding - fluffy and light. What really stood out to me was the pork jowl. It was tender, savory, and had the texture of a perfectly cooked filet mignon. My friends and I absolutely loved dining here and will certainly be coming back again!“

“Ever eat something so incredible your soul leaves your body for a minute? The panang curry does that.I keep coming back for it even though I can't handle spicy foods. It's worth the pain. I didn't know anything could have this many incredible flavors packed in every bite! Seriously so good I'm drooling just writing a review. And the owners are the absolute nicest people. I left a comment on my mobile order about not being able to handle super spicy and they immediately called me to let me know there wasn't a way to make it less spicy and double check that I still wanted it. They even tried to dilute it a bit to help me out, but I'd still eat this even if it melted my tastebuds off.15/10“

“Generally high quality, authentic Thai food. The quiet seating arrangement was pleasant at lunch. DinnerDinged to 4 stars for slowish service and a relatively high price point (it's upscale Thai), but liked it overall, especially the appetizers.“

“Thai Esan was fast on a Friday night and so delicious! It’s been difficult to find really good Thai food in Austin and this is now on the top of my list. Got the yellow curry gang garee, pad Thai and egg rolls. The spice was legit. Outdoor seating available if you need but we just picked up! (It’s next door to a gas station so think low key but plenty of parking). It’s quaint and friendly service. Thank you for some great Thai take out!“

“It may look like a random restaurant at a pit stop, but Saigon is our favorite Asian joint in the Austin area. We make a 30 minute trip just for it.It's small, family run and the food is just delicious.Steamed pork dumplings are so perfectly airy and balanced it's ridiculous.Owners are sweet and kind and put a lot of effort to assure you enjoy your meal.“

“Came in for lunch on a Saturday and sure glad we did! Service was great and they are very accommodating for anyone with food allergies. We decided to go with the street food since it's only offered Thursday-Saturday Order chicken satay moo ping pad ka-prow I'd start the pad ka-prow, bench the moo ping, and cut the satay. The moo ping is close to being a starter for me as it was very delicious! Prices are fair and plenty of parking. Will be back for more street food!“

“In the food truck park near Zilker and Barton Springs, conveniently located if you want to keep the spirit of a picnic-style type of day. Please note this rating is for food trucks, and not to be compared to restaurant ratings. So, service is minimal and a smile goes a long way and the ambiance is usually outdoors. Coat and Thai was rated Top 10 Best Thai by City Search in 2011-2012, and I don't disagree. Good portions, and interestingly served. Ordered the chicken Pad Thai, so it can either be good, really good, or a total fail. Fairly simple dish, yea? This was indeed good. What I appreciated most about this dish is that it wasn't overwhelmed with sauce and had a decent amount of chicken. It was missing egg and some greens, like other restaurants may do, but overall it was a solid dish and accessible by a food truck. FYI anyone in a tree has access to the bathroom key!“

“We were in Austin for the eclipse and scouting options for dinner. Thai Kruefha was recommended to us and so we called in an order for pick up. We ordered the Pad See Ewe, the Pad Thai, the Garlic Chicken, the Yellow Curry, and the Egg Rolls. We drove over to pick up our order and were pleasantly surprised by the purple trailer! The person behind the counter was very friendly and had our order all packaged to go. There are some tables outside in front of the trailer if you are not taking your order to go. The pad see ewe was a delicately spiced combination of stir fried flat rice noodles with egg, broccoli, and carrots. We really enjoyed this pad see ewe with vegetables that still had a nice crispiness. The pad Thai was a traditional stir fried rice noodle dish with egg, cabbage, and green onion. We had the ground peanuts on the side. So good! The garlic chicken was stir fried with garlic and black pepper. A nice garlicky goodness to this dish. The yellow curry included yellow curry paste in a coconut milk sauce with potato, carrot, and onion which tasted great over white rice. Yum! The egg rolls were a great compliment with a nice crispiness. We really loved our one and likely only visit to Thai Kruefha as we are headed out of town tomorrow morning. We are happy that someone recommended this wonderful dinner option to us.“

“I had the Shrimp Pad Thai, and it's been a while since I finished a Pad Thai dish. The shrimp were slightly overcooked, but still very good overall. The Thai Chive Dumplings were also very yummy by themselves, but even better with the provided thick dipping sauce.I will be back to sample the Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Soup) which will be ultimate Thai food test.“

“This restaurant is a family favorite. We love the spring rolls with the generous portions and that special crunchy stick inside. My personal favorite is the lemon grass tofu, Mom likes the grilled shrimp. We always order the green beans XO for the table. So delicious. Some very thoughtful vegan entrees include Spicy Vegan Hue style Vietnamese noodle soup and the Vegan 512 Vermicelli. Of course many dishes can also be made without meat, but it's nice to have a vegetable based broth option. They also have a vegan option for fish sauce if you so desire. The portions are generous. It's a great place for takeout. The prices are reasonable. What's not to love?“

“Very tasty food. The pad kapow was delightfully spicy and seasoned so well. I’m not normally a fan of ground or minced meat, but this was so good I would go back for it. The red curry was good too, huge portion of it. On the milder side of curries I’ve had, but no complaints. The chicken was well cooked and the inclusion of Brussel sprouts was nice. The mango sticky rice was delicious, very generous with the mango.Atmosphere is super pleasant. Lots of picnic benches and outdoor lights. Has a fun, chill energy. Several people bring their dogs, so things are very laid-back.“

“I used to live in Austin and I still think about this place to this day. THE BEST THAI FOOD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The "Medium Spicy Beef Pad Thai" and the "Peanut Sauce Wings" composed a significant portion of the calories I consumed while living in Texas. I honestly don't know what black magic goes on in the kitchen here...but they have me absolutely hooked.Staff are also so kind too. My actual #1 favorite spot in Austin. I miss you guys.“

“Unexpectedly good Thai food! The ambiance was very no-frills and I definitely do think they could update it a bit. The food was delicious - chicken green curry was on point. The drunken noodles had a slightly weird aftertaste but still really tasty. Spice levels were awesome too. The food was actually spicy and incredibly flavorful. Highly recommend, but perhaps more so for takeout. Interiors aside, the service was totally excellent. The server staff was so friendly and warm.“

“So good I went back for more! Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao were a little on the sweet side but otherwise full of flavour and a generous portion size at a reasonable price ($16). Chilled vibe inside, friendly staff, TV plays some random feel-good video channel Bviral which was delightful to glance at.“

“Ordered take out for the first time with low expectations, but I can happily say it won't be our last! Ordered pad Thai, mussaman beef, and Kao Soi. Each dish was really awesome, full of flavor, and very satisfying. Particularly good was the kao Soi! We have medium to low spice tolerance and I didn't ask for any adjustment to the spice level...and it was perfect. Just a little spice, but not overwhelming. Looking forward to trying other dishes. The only minor disappointment was the mango sticky rice. The mango was pretty good, but the black sticky rice was more mushy than sticky and wasn't as luxurious as that dish normally is. I probably wouldn't order that again. But overall, a great surprise.“

“We had such a great time at Sway Thai! It's not just affordable, but the place has a unique charm too, offering truly authentic Thai cuisine paired with standout service. Our waitress was super friendly and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Everyone at our table was raving about the Tom Kha Kai—it was a hit! Definitely recommend a visit here, but heads up, it’s a good idea to book a table in advance. They were really accommodating with our group, even setting up some extra outdoor tables for us.“
