“This is always a good meal with great service. Sometimes it can be a little loud but that's just because it is such a good place to go that it's busy. You really can't hold that against them I guess. We love coming here and I am particularly impressed with the fact that they can continue to have potato skins. So many places don't have them anymore and I grew to love them in the 80s so it's always a good day when I find some. We have consistently had good service and great food and it is definitely on our rotation of places to eat“
“If you are looking for a place that still gives you the great old American feeling, look no further. This is a must stop in the Wichita Falls area. It is a 50's feel diner. Stop on in and have a great burger and shake or just sip a cup of coffee and chat with the locals and staff. Great place, please never change.“
“You know how people will say something is “to die for?” Well, this place is “to travel for!” I got stranded in Wichita Falls because of my car and was recommended this place from the tow truck driver. I’m glad he did because I literally will be making the drive back up to eat here again. The chicken elote, chicken fried steak, dip trio and chicken Mac n cheese were amazing! They had a good beer selection and I loved how they listed where they were made. I wish we had this place in my hometown. 100% recommend if it isn’t obvious already haha“
“We spent Christmas with my daughter. We drove from Missouri and she catered the dinner from here and we was so impressed with everything. The food was amazing. We was all a little skeptical about getting the food the day before and then heating things up the next day but everything was perfect the vegetables had amazing flavor. The meat was super moist. We had ham and turkey both so I suggest don't cook next year. Let them do the cooking. They do a wonderful job.“
“I really liked it. Tons of options and the atmosphere was chill and service was great. They have plenty staff so even though it was packed we were well taken care of. I didn't drink but it looked like they had really good options and people seemed To really be enjoying themselves and their meals.“
“Trevor the chef and the 3 awesome ladies, kim, chandler and Jenna working tonight we're incredible, the best service we've had in a very long time, it was my birthday and they all sung that happy song, the food was delicious and the happy Birthday dessert was so yummy. Hats off to them all, i was with my friend Jason from DFW and i was from Ireland and we very much loved it ???Parking: Parked right outside entrance and was perfect thank you“
“So I like hitting little restaurants, mom and pop as it were. Pioneer NO.3 is pretty old school. Don't know if it's changed much since 1949 when it says it opened, don't even know if they've redone the parking lot... it's not a bad thing. You can get some semis in there. The service is what you would expect in a small town diner, not hovering over you, but very responsive.I had the Catfish Basket, 5 pieces light golden brown, tasted like corn meal with maybe a touch of flour, 3 hush puppies, and fries (also a light golden color). I wouldn't call the basket amazing, but it was solid. Had to get the onion rings, smaller in size and thickness, but not over cooked, moderate on the breading and the onion shined thru. All washed down with very nice sweet tea.All in all it was solid, but next time I come by I'll try the recommended fried steak, just because.“
“They have great quality food and w9nderful flavor combinations. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, Waldorf salad, truffle fries, and the pot roast. Everything was well prepared and tasted good. I really like that I could taste the freshness of the ingredients and nothing was over salted; the flavor combos di all the work.“
“Good service with great food and drinks. Can be a little intimidating, but there's 2 inside areas and 2 "outside" areas. One for parking service and just sitting outside. The girls are fairly attentive and the kitchen is fast and good. The "old" area is quieter and the newer open area by the bar is typically lively and fun. Give it a chance.“
“Portions are huge! We wondered why they had 1/2 orders of almost everything. We didn't finish our half orders. Waitress was great, our fries were not hot and she brought us hot ones immediately. Make sure to order the fresh cut ones!! The only thing we didn't like was the coleslaw. It had jalapenos in it, I like it creamy and a little sweet, could not eat it, would not have ordered if I had known. Would be a great spot to watch a game, lots of TVs!!“
“Big shout out to Ramon! What an amazing person. There was 13 of us and he was so pleasant and stayed on top of our drinks and shrimp. Most of us had the endless shrimp and Ramon was constantly putting in orders for more shrimp. He smiled and laughed right along with us. Ramon, you are an amazing person and thank you so much for making our day wonderful! You were an amazing addition to our day! Excellent job Ramon!“
“I have a love-hate relationship with Red. Robin, mostly because half the time the burgers are super expensive and the other have the time they're running specials like $10, gourmet cheeseburger Tuesday and so like on Tuesday. It's a real good place to go get a hamburger but any other day of the week my friends be taking me and I'm trying to get hamburger and it cost like $18 and that's no bueno. But I'll say this the quality of the burgers is good. The endless french fries is pretty good too, but it's terrible if you're on a diet, so be careful with those. Remember to be counting your calories while you're eating them. French fries. I think each french fry a baskets like 350 calories. So you know you got to be careful. You like six of those and you're like done for the day. Anyhow, the food is good. Appetizers are generally pretty good. The service is amazing and all around pretty good restaurant but don't let my friends hear me say that because they think I hate it because I don't want to go there every 5 days. Anyhow, I definitely recommend it and y'all are doing great. Keep up the good work! Oh and the manager was so nice. She came up to us and talked about MSU for like a solid like 5 minutes, but I'm pretty sure if we didn't want him to. He probably wouldn't have stayed that long. But we're having a pretty good conversationDietary restrictions: Good for people with Celiac's has gluten free bread“
“Mother of two knew son 10 or 11 was banging on bench didt say anything to son until I turned to ask her to tell him to stop, we were there to celebrate my daughters bday. What happened to the croissants we were served crescent rolls. And no country fried steak, had the country fried chicken, not what I wanted.“
“I had the best food, with the best waitress in the most awesome atmosphere possible! We had an absolutely amazing brunch!Vegetarian options: They had numerous vegetarian options available.Parking: The huge parking lot accommodated parking for all size vehicles and trailers.Kid-friendliness: Or waitress was great with the children at our table“
“The waitress was friendly and attentive without being worrisome. What stands out the most, however, is how great the food was. I had eaten at the one in Palestine quite a few years back. I remember the food being good, but not this good. The pricing is good and the quality of the food was first class. I going to work them in to ny schedule once per week. Probably on Thursdays when for each adult a kid eats free.“
“Great restaurant to enjoy wonderful food in a relaxed setting. Possibly the best option for business travelers in Wichita Falls. If you have the chance to eat here, don't miss it, it's a bit out of the way from where many of the hotels are but it's so worth the drive. Nice little garden and pond too to enjoy outside!I'll certainly be back the next time I'm local“
