Barbeque Restaurants in Winnie, TX

“Stopped at Tony’s BBQ on our way to Houston and what a great find. From the moment we walked in, it looked and felt exactly how we’d imagined an old-school Texas BBQ joint should, and thankfully the food didn’t disappoint either!

As a family of four from England, we went all in with four 2-meat combo dinners, trying the turkey, sausage and, of course, the all-important brisket. The meats were succulent, smoky and full of flavour, but top marks definitely went to the brisket. 👌

Plenty of great sides too. The loaded warm potato salad was a real highlight, along with the pinto beans, and we absolutely loved the BBQ sauce.

The chef also came over and had a good chat with us after hearing we were visiting from England, which was a lovely touch and made the stop even more memorable.

Great food, quirky old school decor and loads of character. Exactly the sort of place we hoped we’d stumble across while travelling through Texas. Definitely worth pulling off the road for!“
