“My gf and I were looking for a new Chinese restaurant last night and were fortunate to find this place. Our meal was amazing- she got the Pon Pon Chicken dinner and I had the Mongolian beef. It was hot , fresh and way above our expectations. The cream cheese wontons were fantastic- definitely not the frozen ones we’ve had elsewhere. We both highly recommend Mountain City!!”

“Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options come to mind, though I can't recall if they were clearly labeled. The staff was amazing and I'm sure they would be helpful in pointing out options.

Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to lavender and the staff was very vigilant in checking their tea for lavender to make sure it was safe for me to drink. I really appreciate that!

Parking: The building is a little hidden but there is plenty of parking.

Wheelchair accessibility: The building is not wheelchair accessible. If you have some mobility there are three stairs to get into the building and they have main floor seating but there is a big staircase to the second floor. So I would call to see which rooms are the most accessible.”

“Layla is not just amazing food, they make you feel like you are dining at their home! You do not have this impressive experience anywhere else in Utah but at Layla Grill. The portions are generous and the prices are affordable. I can’t say enough about Layla Grill I wish I could eat there every day. They transform you to the Mediterranean with the atmosphere and food. You must experience Layla Grill.”

“We found a cute little pastry shop right in the middle of downtown Holladay today! Apparently they have been in business for 50 years. Who knew? Display and decor is cute. The pastries, cakes, cookies and all of the baked goodies looked delightful. I asked the shop girl if I could just have one of everything! We bought a variety of items and they are all delicious. Not to die for delicious, but good. Shop is clean and inviting. Closed on Sunday and Monday.

“Jitterbug is a delicious spot for mini doughnuts and coffee! The two guys running it were welcoming and helpful.

The doughnuts are cute and bite-sized! I was staying at the Hyatt and tried it out in the morning. I loved them and returned for more to share with the family. :) I got two dozen with various flavors- Summer Road, Powder House, Mambo, and Yard Sale. They were all delicious and fresh! I tried the Bucksin coffee, and it is well-bodied in flavor and doesn’t taste burnt like Starbucks. My total was $24, which I felt was fair for the quality of the product.

There is a cute pink picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, and a bench. It wasn’t too busy, so we could sit and enjoy the view of the mountains!”

When I headed out to my car after using the restroom, the employee flagged me down and gave a coupon for my next visit for the inconvenience. It was unexpected and very kind. I was very impressed. “I just ate a DELICIOUS bolognese fettuccine from one of the vendors here, their name is Celeste Bites. Im not kidding one of the best bolognese ive had here, not too much tomato but it wasnt flavourless either, and the lady at the front was super nice she gifted me some cookies !! “This has been a go to restaurant for Laura and me for the last 6+ years. The menu is sensational, the value is what you would expect in the service at times slow is always very friendly. They have some very unique curry as well as appetizers on the menu. If you like Thai food this is a must if you’re not sure if you like Thai food you will be one over by their menu. We have enjoyed it every single time and we will always go back.”

“Got to try new taco box today! You can get different spice levels for sauces and different meats. We got the chicken and pork with medium/hot salsas. Both were so flavorful, sauces were delicious and we loved all the toppings! They said it feeds 3 but we fed 3 adults and there was plenty of leftovers so it could definitely feed more! Best part was all we had to do was heat up the meats and tortillas and lunch was ready! We will definitely be ordering again and trying the steak.”

“We had a great experience at Swizzle! First of all we must have gone at a great time because there was no wait and we were at the window very quickly. Ava, who helped us, was darling with my kids and patient as they were describing what they wanted. She got all items in our order right and the swizzle sticks (hot scones) were ready fast and fresh. I didn't feel it was very expensive compared to other Soda shops. I think if you frequent these types of places you know what you are getting into $ wise. Ultimately was really impressed with Ava and so grateful for her patience and non annoyance/rush with my kids. She deserves a raise! :)

“I have been going here since I was a teenager in the 90s. This place has the best fish n' chips I've ever had. And I've lived in Alaska and Washington. Every time I'm in Utah I stop by to enjoy the halibut n' chips. I love the special fry sauce and tartar sauce. 😋😋”

“Love this place! I travel a lot and had to move away, but I always take my family back here every time I'm in town. Food is delicious, my husband loves it and my kids overeat. Our favorite savory dishes are Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Spicy Pepper Beef. Side dishes such as vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and cream cheese wontons are very basic but they are made well. I really took it for granted when I was living there. Now the next best place is in New York.”

“I had the Johnny chipotle burger and if was so good. Added good flavor without being overwhelming. My husband had the blue cheese one and the garlic sauce was divine. We also ordered cheese curds because we just moved back to Utah from Wisconsin. I was nervous but the guy helping us at checkout was so kind and encouraging. The curds were actually really good and I was impressed. Honestly I left really happy with our meal and the service we got!”
