My girlfriends and I dined here after a little hiking and we all loved it. The food and drinks were good but I really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Our service was great and to our surprise, our server took our burgers off our tab because it took awhile for them to arrive at our table. We actually didn't mine because we had drinks and appetizers, so it was a pleasant surprise.
Gorgeous setting and great vibe in a historic mountain bar.
This place is such a cool spot to vamp and soak in the atmosphere and have a great adult beverage. It's rich with actual history.

The Owl Bar at Sundance Resort is a rustic bar with a cozy western atmosphere, featuring logging beams and mountain-front charm. It is open in summer for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays. The simple bar menu includes a generous large tray of nachos with fresh home style chips, cheese, black beans, 2 scoops of guacamole, 2 scoops of sour cream, lots of black olives, pico de guayo, picked jalapeños, and grilled chicken breast for $32, enough for 3 or 4 hungry people. The gourmet burger with fries looked amazing for about $27. A proper Old Fashioned is a favorite drink, and the bar staff makes mulled wine in a big pot. Service is great, super friendly, and welcoming. Food can take a little while, but it is worth the wait. Guests can sit inside or outside on the patio with umbrellas surrounded by tall trees. A great time to visit is right before the slopes open for skiing, as there is no crowd. The fire on the back deck is a nice spot to enjoy. Weekend parking is tight.
