We were basically the only people in the restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday, which worried us, but the food was great! The pizza was a good mix of flavors and the bread bites were rich and flavorful. Service was a little slow given they weren't busy, but I was happy we ate here.
Piastra On Gallivan Plaza feels like a relaxed little Italian spot right in the middle of downtown. I liked sitting near the plaza and watching the city move while the food came out fresh and comforting. The pasta was simple but satisfying, and the whole place had an easygoing vibe. Not overly fancy, just a pleasant stop when I wanted a casual Italian meal.
We recently had a burger and a pizza here. The pizza was excellent. I had the margarita pizza and the crust was thin and super crispy. The flavors were very fresh with the crushed and roasted tomatoes and cheese. The burger was very good - messy and good. Our server was very attentive and helpful. We had lunch there and it was nice and quiet so we could talk easily. Good restaurant at the hotel, would eat there again.
