“We ate the most creative and divine food last night at Communal. The portions are big and they are for sharing. The new summer salad with fresh peaches and corn was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The blend of flavors was absolutely amazing. Had I known how delicious it was beforehand I would have just ordered that for dinner. My husband and I shared the Greek chicken, crispy fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots with pistachios. Wonderful homemade rolls were served while we awaited our dinner. “The snowcones and flavoring were great, but I think the cream was just sweet and condescend milk which I didn’t love. Anything added to the snowcone such as ice cream, cream, coconut, etc. has an up charge on top of the already expensive ($5 for a medium) snowcone. Tropical Sno in Salem has free add ons at a lower price.

However, the snowcones themselves were wonderful. The flavoring was great, there was a lot of flavoring so it wasn’t just ice, and the ice was crushed enough to be soft like snow. I do think I’d come back here, but not something I’d frequent due to price and up charges.“

“Compared to the “old” airport terminal the new one is “celestial” in comparison. Like every airport in the country the prices for food and goods are astronomical but the service is good. The architect gets 2-3 stars from me due to the confusing gate numbering, the lack of moving walkways under the tarmac between terminals, and no train or light rail between terminals. You really get your steps in when you’re here! That’s well and good for most people however, old folks and those with handicaps of any kind will suffer (unless you’re able to get a wheelchair). I do like the separate area where returning missionaries can rejoin their families, allowing others to pass through without congestion. The ice sculptures were a nice addition, (if only we had snow outside to make it complete). On an A-F scale I’d give the new airport a B+.“

“My wife and I finally stopped by Tamale Market in Provo, after hearing great things about their tamales. We were met at the door by a wonderful guy who introduced us to their amazing homemade tamales. We ended up ordering a half dozen after trying their Red Chile Beef, which was absolutely delicious. Very sweet corn tamales but they are fantastic. I’d love to see if the people giving out one star reviews have traveled outside Utah… If someone finds a better tamale in Utah let me know!“

From the quality of food to quality of customer service, easily a 10 out of 10! The employees are always quick to help and are so friendly! Now when it comes to the food, HOLY cheese bread! This place has improved by 500% since the last time I stopped in for a meal...which was in 1996, the year I graduated. It’s great to see all of the franchise offerings along with BYU food services options. I’m not a fast food patron on the outside so I skipped it here also and went straight for a salad but if I was still a student at BYU, I would be stoked to have some comfort food available w/o leaving campus. Nicely done BYU! PS: The plethora of soda offerings with caffeine is the cherry on top. 😁👍🏻“
