“The Margarita pizza was an excellent choice. We added Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, pepper, and salt, which elevated its already great flavor. The crust had a perfect balance—crisp yet soft and incredibly light, making this a delightful, non-heavy pizza. The Islander pizza was tasty but could be phenomenal with slight adjustments. A bit more pineapple and ham (maybe an extra ounce) and a more noticeable BBQ drizzle would enhance the flavor. The crust was a little floppy, likely due to the fresh pineapple, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The light, flavorful crust pairs perfectly with dipping sauces like ranch—just know the 4 oz. cup for $1 is worth it. We also tried the large "Vampire Killer" (available until 10/31, known as "The Carnivore" the rest of the year). Although it cooled down during the trip home, it was still incredibly tasty. The robust sauce, crunchy yet soft crust, and generous toppings were a treat. Next time, I’ll definitely add extra mushrooms. The 4 oz. sides of ranch and Alfredo were the perfect complements, making this pizza experience even more enjoyable.“

“Excellent food! Hub had sweet pork salad. Sauce was very tasty, salad could have been in a magazine. I chose a bowl with mango shredded chicken, teriyaki sauce, Cabo (beans) in Hawaiian sauce. Of the 2, the sweet pork was our favorite. We would definitely go back again!“

“I go here all the time and they make it feel like I am picking up food from long time friends or family. The atmosphere is delightful, the food is always amazing and I just love the friendly faces of the people who own/ work there. I love spending my money at this place. “It's great that they offer an existing vegan option in most menu categories (plates, bowls, etc), plus you can create your own by swapping a vegan protein, sauce & side for the standard animal options for no charge, in most dishes. My advice is to start your order online, even if you don't complete it, so you can easily see all the options & substitutions available. I had the Mediterranean Platter and swapped the cheese bread for wheat pita bread, and hummus for baba ganoush. It was a generous portion and delicious - including the falafel, and especially the sauces! So nice to find quick but yummy vegan food that's also healthy/mostly whole foods (and reasonably priced!) outside of a big city. It's also the only place I've found other than Burgerville in the Pacific NW with vegan (nice cream) milkshakes, though those are a tad expensive. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-11“

“My wife and I are new to the St. George area and we looked around for a special restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We decided on the Painted Pony and we were so pleased that we did. Everything about the Painted Pony spoke to quality from the greeting we received at the entrance to the very pleasant waiter and most importantly the food was first class as well. We were so pleased that we returned a second time for Christmas eve. Five stars !!“

“The theme: delicious and disastrous. The food was worth the wait but was disappointed with the level of service. It was shawtty at best, (not even the good kind). Spicier on Saturdays btw. Also, idn’t love the soy sauce shower. And yes, that was a euphemism.“

“We’ve been coming here about a year now, the staff is very friendly, only complaint is the temperature of the food. Had a waffle once, butter wouldn’t even melt it was so cold. Today had cold eggs Benedict, husband had cold biscuits n gravy cold scrambled eggs & hard potatoes. Coffee was good though.“

“I know Ike’s since 2018 from California and was excited to find it here in Utah. Location is in a gas station. When I asked if they can make my favorite sandwich (49er), they looked into the computer and said “Yes, we can make it. The only thing we don’t have is the cheese, we will use another cheese”. I was OK with that. Unfortunately, when I got my sandwich, I realized that the buffalo chicken (which belongs on the 49er) was not there, it was some kind of honey mustard chicken. Not a big deal but I prefer the buffalo chicken. Their payment system is also a little weird, you order at the counter, then take the receipt to the gas station counter, pay there, and then collect your food. As it was my first time here, I didn’t know that it works this way. The lady should have explained it to me beforehand.“

“From out of town. Never had one of these crazy sodas. This place does not disappoint. It’s crazy for someone who’s just used to a regular soda. The staff was very helpful and patient while both myself and the group I was with decided what soda concoction we would have. Very tasty! Sodas are huge!“

“My son didn't have a phone with him and walked in to Papa John's late on a Saturday night to see if he could perhaps use the phone to call me for a ride. The Papa John's employee on shift, Spencer, not only let him use his personal phone to call but also gave him free pizza to eat while he waited. It was totally unexpected, and a small act of kindness that really mattered to our family. We really appreciate Spencer's kindness, which reflects well not just on him, but also Papa John's for employing people like him.“
