“Brew Birds is an amazing local cafe with fresh and delicious food, great coffee and a rotating selection of beers/ ciders. The staff are very friendly. I don't eat out during the week (only home cooked), so a Brew Birds breakfast burrito is usually the go to treat. I can personally recommend the Roast Beast, the Turkey BLT, the breakfast burrito, and the basic B. This place is my favorite part of the neighborhood!“

They phoned me to check his name and printed out special menus as a keepsake and gave him a gift at the end. They were attentive and understanding that by the time he came to eat the stress and excitement of the day suddenly hit him and he was exhausted affecting his appetite. They happily got him a box to take it home without any judgement. The food was tasty and well cooked and staff helpful and kind (they even gave us a choice of table). The main dishes are on the pricier side, so it is why we chose it to mark his occasion. However, we will be back for drinks and appetisers in future.“

Every bite said, “Sir, this is not fast food — this is fine dining between buns.” My wife had the Paris Burger — imagine garlic-kissed beef topped with brie so creamy it probably auditioned for a romance film, with balsamic onions adding the drama. Let’s just say she stopped talking mid-bite. That’s how you know it’s good. The vibe? Casual but classy, with staff who treat you like family (the good side of the family, not the ones who borrow your tools and never bring them back). “Update 4/2/25: Had to drop the rating one star. Recent shows there have not sounded great, not sure what has happened. Very muddled and bass heavy which is not good when they are guitar oriented bands and the guitar is barely audible.
Love this venue! They get a great mix of tribute bands and a decent number of national acts as well. The best thing about the place is the sound system. They have absolutely nailed the sound the majority of the shows I've seen here. The 2024 Living Colour show immediately comes to mind, such a great job on the sound mix! In 20+ shows I've seen here to date only one had bad sound, Geoff Tate. I asked about that one and turns out the band had its own sound people on the boards, so that was on them not the venue.
Parking is a breeze as there is a public garage right behind the theater. Tribute bands generally are in the $15 to $25 range for general admission tickets. Even for national acts I've not yet noticed anything go past $50 per ticket (KK's Priest with Accept was the most I've seen at $49.50). I've been to a sold out show here and they must have good AC as it did not get overly hot inside.
My only quibble is the "pit" area by the stage is slightly sloped, good for sight lines, not so much for standing on.“

“A little tucked away spot that has tasty breakfast sandwiches. Several bread options. I had rye and my wife had the ciabatta. I think ciabatta is the most popular. It looked really good. A few tables and everything comes in "to go" bags. Very nice people too.“

I get the pepperoni and extra cheese probably more than I should, that's my comfort order, but when I want something different the buffalo chicken is unreal. Always cooked right, always loaded.
The steak and cheese sub is no joke either. One of the best I've had anywhere, and I don't say that lightly. And I have to mention the penne quattro formaggi because it's one of my favorite pastas I've ever had, period. So creamy and rich, I think about it when I'm not even eating it.
