“We enjoyed the chicken curry, the paneer tikka masala, the non-veg thali, garlic naan, chai tea, mint mojito, galub jamun and kheer. We were visiting DC, and the food was so good we came in a second night. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff and owner very professional and personable. Highly recommend.“

“Food was great. Overall satisfied with the meal. Wait staff was quick and friendly. Worth a visit. Only way it could be improved is to have citronella candles on the table. There are no candles on the tables outside. Be sure to tip generously!“

“Overall great experience! Located blocks away from the riverfront, so perfect for lunch or dinner and a stroll around Old Town. Cozy restaurant with very friendly staff! Raj had some great recommendations for food and drink. Started with the Bollywood Old Fashioned. Loved it! Ordered the veggie samosas for appetizer. Fried perfectly! Crispy, not greasy and stuffed to the max with tasty filling. The chutney it came with was subtle, with a little sweetness and touch of spice. Ordered the garlic butter naan. It was good, thin and had good butter and garlic coverage. I prefer naan to be thicker and more doughy. This style of naan worked really well for the dessert chocolate naan with ice cream! Would order that every time! For main course, I tried the palak with tofu and bollywood special with shrimp at the restaurant. Both sauces were extremely tasty! The rice cooked perfectly. The serving sizes big enough to fill up but not so big where you couldn't finish. Good prices and I would say excellent value for what you get. The shrimp were big and juicy. The tofu soft and creamy. I wanted to try the spiciest dish on the menu and Raj asked me a few questions to learn if it was a good idea for me. I love spicy food and ended up ordering it to go and it did not disappoint. On a scale of 1-30, I ordered a 20 and it was spicy. Made my nose run and tongue burn, in the best way possible. Flavor was on point and spice level was good for the brave to try in the restaurant but better to take it home and have for lunch the next day. 10/10! Will come again!“

“The most delicious, authentic Indian food served by a most gracious gentleman. The Nan, of which there are several choices, was warm and buttery. The homemade cheese was exceptionally delicious. Another diner had butter chicken and was raving at how tender the chicken was. And the samosas were wonderful. Everything at our table was a 10 out of 10. Treat yourself, dine at this wonderful restaurant!“

“Why have I lived here for seven years and just now discovered this place? The place is a buffet format with about a dozen dishes including two desserts, with one pan also holding the usual Indian condiments (the pickle was outstanding). Each dish was fresh, hot, refreshed as needed, and tasty with the heat level appropriate for a western palate. Not as many dishes as a large buffet but this was just perfect, and I'm guessing they rotate different dishes on some days. While the food is as good as most places, what I liked was the variety and quality. Service was impeccable, with dressed-up waitstaff and a very clean and elegant interior. Fine dining buffet! Lunch for two (no drinks) was around $23, just remarkable for Alexandria. It's in the shopping center, regardless of what your GPS may be telling you. With the good food, economy, and service, this is an easy five.“

“Outstanding Experience!
I ordered from Namaste Restaurant through Uber Eats — Shrimp Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Tandoori Chicken — and everything was absolutely on point. The flavors were rich and authentic, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and perfectly cooked. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put real care into their food. Definitely one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!“
