“A go-to Italian spot in NoVA! Although their menu is small, I've enjoyed a lot of what they have to offer!

Bread - Complimentary and comes with EVOO. Bread was soft and spongey with a salty exterior.

Caesar Salad - Love that they use big lettuce leaves and not the basid shredded stuff! Dressing is light with a vibrant lemon flavor. Would order again.

Rigatoni - Comforting meaty sauce with huge pieces of pasta. A little heavy handed on the parsley, but would order again.

Lasagna (special) - Vibrant tomato-y meat sauce. Simple, but good.

Ziti - Their vodka sauce is a bit too spicy for a mild person like myself. For better depths of flavor, consider the other pastas on the menu.

Olive Oil Cake - Good choice for those with a sweet and savory palette. The golden raisin marmellata adds a sweet note, that coupled with the creme fraiche, balanced out the strong olive oil flavor. Interesting, but I liked it and would order it again.

Eggnog Tapioca Pudding - Unique take on tapioca pudding. Liked the crispy bits but was expecting something thicker in consistency.

Warm Gingerbread Cake - Rich, decadent and delicious! Reminded me of a slightly cake-ier version of sticky toffee pudding--tried to savor every bite, but it did not last long! Sad it's a seasonal item.

Black Forest Tiramisu - Exactly how it's described in the name.. a tiramisu version of Black Forest cake. Good, but the ginger bread cake is better.“

“Il Porto was amazing! We needed to arrange a luncheon after my mother’s funeral and they were fantastic! We only had two day’s notice. They were so accommodating and helpful. The food and room were wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the experience and we were able to focus on honoring my mom. Thank you!!!“

The squid alla marinara pasta sautéed perfectly blended with the right spices and herbs. I tasted basil and it was minty and really satisfied my appetite. Thank you for the extra freshly made bread, salad with the special house sauce + the tiramisu for the dessert. This is my second time to visit this restaurant and I will surely come back the next time we are in the neighborhood. Grazie!!!“

“Greek pizza is excellent and Maggio’s Stromboli was perfect. Both items were full of ingredients.
My only complaint would be, I’m not used to it in today’s world, someone beside us was smoking a cigarette and we’re not used to that. So the smoke was a bit much.“

From the moment we were seated, Vaughn went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. The food has always been delicious , my favorite is the Tuscan Chicken. The bar menu up stairs- Martini's are absolutely fabulous. I look for this to be my hangout meeting spots for business. At 10:30 am, even though they had a breakfast menu, my husband decided he wanted lasagna, so I thought what the heck, I'll get a lunch/dinner item too. What a treat! We had their bruschetta to start (WOW!) I had the Chicken Milanese and we finished off our food adventure with a yummy gelato! Food was amazing and the service from Isabel was top notch too. Isabel is very sweet and personable and has worked there for four years. That's a tribute to the restaurant and management for sure! Huge portions and very reasonable prices. “Have been ordering here for years, great service and the pizza is always good. Plenty of deals to be had. Paisanos is my go-to spot for a reason. Pizza comes early and the quality is always on point. I'm also a fan of the subs, and the wings are mad good too. Also a local NoVA business, you can't go wrong with Paisanos.“

“New Mosaic location just opened and it’s great. The pizza is fantastic, actually cooked with some nice crisp and char like the northern pizza snob in me likes. I also had a chicken parm sub that was fantastic. Haven’t tried the cold subs yet but there’s always tomorrow hah. The location is great on the bend of District Ave looking out down the street and they smartly installed a retractable front wall that can be opened for open air on nice days/evenings (or if Covid decides to play some more games here in the future). Also some select patio seating which is nice as well!“

“They do buffalo chicken pizza right! Buffalo Sauce, Pizza Cheese, (CRISPY) Buffalo Chicken, Gorgonzola Cheese and Red Onions. -->All other ways of doing buffalo chicken pizza are incorrect! Most pizza places just use hot sauce and grilled chicken, which is boring. So, kudos to Paisano's for doing it the right way!

Their hot buffalo wings are probably the best local pizza take-out wings in the DMV. You will be very pleasantly surprised!

Their regular pepperoni pizza with just red sauce, cheese, and pepperoni is above average. It is nowhere near the best pizza in the area, but you absolutely won't be disappointed if you order it either. ... but based on the delicious buffalo chicken pizza and wings, I'm giving them 5/5!“

Had lamb chops twice, prepared as requested medium rare, with green beans. Side pasta dish was excellent. Third time had veal saltibocca, was very good. The Galaktoboureko dessert is excellent. Only issue, not unique to Vaso but applies to 99% of restaurants in the USA, is that the entree gets cold fast because in the USA it is rare for restaurants to heat up the plate. Those lamb chops would be even better on a sizzling or even hot iron platter or plate.“

Here, the pizza came out perfect, no sogginess or under-cooked dough. We came later in the evening so we didn't experience waiting or difficulty finding parking so your mileage may vary. there.“

“This is a small location but we come here because Angie always takes excellent care of us. Some changes could improve the customer experience like being able to order for delivery which could increase sales quite a bit and provide income to invest back into the business. The wings and the cheesesteak are our usual favorites to order because the bread is good and the wings are cooked well.“
