“I’ve been craving fish and chips for days and this place did not disappoint. Queen Vic offers delivery via Toast and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg like DoorDash does. I got the fish and chips & Tikka Masala delivered. I live 35 minutes away and the fish still arrived crispy. Large portions for the price, I had left overs. Only critique is that I wish my order came with some malt vinegar packets, and a side of curry sauce would be a great. I’d 100% come back and sit down to eat.“

After fainting at the bottom of the stairs Friday night, the employees all immediately sprang into action, making sure that I was ok and asking questions while they called for paramedics. They even knew that I hadn’t been drinking, properly conveying that I was having a true medical issue. The first thing I remember is one of them telling me that I wasn’t alone and everything was going to be ok. Fainting episodes are always very disorienting and even painful for me, but everyone made me feel completely safe and comforted. They ensured no onlookers made me uncomfortable or laughed, really minimizing my immense embarrassment about the whole experience. They were so respectful, and one man in particular truly took care of me the entire time. Honestly, I’m sure they did even more than I was aware of, and I am so grateful for their assistance. This is an absolutely amazing bar that simply put my safety above all else. I have never been treated with such genuine care, thoughtfulness, and kindness during a fainting episode. My only regret is not getting any of their names to properly thank them for their help, so I really hope they see this! Your help meant the world to me, and I cannot wait to tell all of my friends to come to The Commodore!“

“Been here many, many times at lunch and after 5pm. Always a great beer and wine selection. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great prices and you can bring your food from the buffet downstairs. Brilliant for everyone especially those with children. Makes grocery shopping so much more pleasurable.“

Only one staff member was handling both the tables and the bar for the entire restaurant, so things moved really slowly. Despite that, they were friendly and doing their best under the circumstances. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. Seated quickly. Our waitress was A+.
We ordered the tacos which was very good. 2 large tacos. Also we shared the fish and chips. I would have to say it was the best fish/chips we have had. The fish was meaty, nice breading, hot and yummy. We did finish up with the bread pudding which was good. Good portions of all we ordered. My favorite part was the gentleman that served the food. He was well dressed, polite and attentive to our liking of the food. These days you don’t often find polite, well dressed servers! Kuddos to him! He is an asset to the establishment.“

“What a great place! I arrived early in the morning to watch a Six Nations game that they were streaming (a rare feat for American bars). They had no food, and not even milk for coffee. Just alcohol (marvellous). The bartender very kindly ran out to the store in the middle of the game to get us milk! No funny business, just kind, chatty people who are rugby lovers. Rustic and simple. I’m planning on going every week for a morning Guinness (or a $4 mimosa! Bargain!) 😉“

“This is an underground night club which can get packed since it’s a snug space. We were there with DJ Bizzy who killed it with house, R&B, today’s hits and even Latin beat. We elevated our experience by getting a table for 7 and it was WELL worth it to have the space to spread out, make drinks and dance with your group without being crushed in the crowd. Thank you to Robert for hooking us up with a seamless reservation, the staff for continuously filling our mixers and ice and our personal favorite THANK YOU AUGUSTINE for keeping the women’s bathroom safe and kicking the wandering “lost” men out the minute they entered! You are a real one for that! Over all it was a great experience for an Intimate club experience and it is what you make of it. Great club for beginners or medium groups with excellent music and service/security.“
