“I love this place! I come here to get a bite and get some school work done. The breakfast is amazing and so is the Matcha! It’s definitely a must try in Martinsville Va!”
“Checked google maps after having our car serviced for a breakfast option. Railway came up 2 miles away and we gave them a shot. So glad we did. Clean, easy going feel to the cafe and our food was fantastic.Caramel coffee was A+. Don't let the small size fool you, place is big on options. We'll be back. Thanks to the attentive staff too.”
“Stopped by for an after dinner dessert and was not disappointed got the pb brownie cone and a pint of black cherry and let me tell you not gonna last til next day my kids and i have devoured this will be back for ”
“Our 1st visit was an absolute pleasure! The associate that took our order was knowledgeable and kept giving great suggestions. The overall vibe was enjoyable and we will be back! Not to mention out drinks were amazing. Don't walk run!!”
“Exceptional food! Throughout Covid I had gotten tired of my own cooking. I am so happy to find someone who is knowledgeable about keto and provides a wide variety of wonderful meals and desserts. His rolls are melt in your mouth delicious, the chocolate chip cookie had me taking a double take ohhhh yum! Leary of any bread, the cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls did not cause my blood sugar to rise and are filling. Thank u Laurence, u are appreciated!”
“I needed to pick up a family dinner because I didn’t have time to cook! Papa’s was perfect! They even separated our spegetti noodles from the sauce for the picky grandchildren who don’t do sauce! SO NICE TO BE ABLE TO ORDER A FAMILY MEAL & Family size salad! Perfectly prepared and most excellent service. I highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my special request!Kid-friendliness: Absolutely made my take out kid special! Thanks”
“The best kept secret in Martinsville, Va nice, cozy little atmosphere with the best food around! The desserts are home-made and the best you'll ever have anywhere! Home-made pies and cookies!! Absolutely 5 stars for all. Service is spot on! The nicest wait staff you will ever see!”
“I’ve been eating wings for a long time, and I must honestly say these were by far the best chicken wings I have had in a very, very long time they were bursting with so much flavor they were so juicy and not overcooked I mean cooked to ”
“It's pretty good considering there's no other Indian places around but it's the most expensive gas station food I've ever had. Nothing to write home about ”
“Delicious! Chicken tenders were perfect. Peach cobbler was divine. Coleslaw was actually pretty terrible/flavorless (just pick a different side!) But I can’t wait to come back here again!”
“Wonderful atmosphere, great waitresses, great food. My favorite appetizer is the Mozzarella sticks w/marinara sauce, or ranch dressing. Thanks Fenderz for all you do to make it pleasant.”
“I know it's weird to give a gas station 5 stars but it's hard to find a small convenient store with a decent grill like the ones I grew up on. They have all closed or at least shut down the grill. Growing up in Martinsville there were other options and I never had to go to Ridgeway for this but now that I live in NC, I stop here nearly every time I go back home. They have hotdogs (the old style with Jesse Jones type red weenies), burgers, salads and much more not to mention all the sides like fries, onion rings, and hush puppies. I've never had anything here I didn't like. Plenty of beverages to choose from but I prefer the Pepsi fountain unit. There is also a sitting area incase you decide to eat there and not in your car. The staff is always nice and accommodating. Growing up I remember getting three dogs for $.99. That's no longer the case but I still love those dogs! Stop in and give them a try the next time you're driving down 220 in Ridgeway.”
“I love this place- here’s a storyA D&A StoryIn my favorite little diner today, the D&A Cafe in Martinsville, Va, I noticed a guy waiting for a table. This happens a lot at this popular little place at lunch rush and I’ve been stuck waiting before myself. I know how inconvenient it is when you only have a half and hour for lunch.I signaled him to come join me if he wanted and he was appreciative and thanked me for offering on the way to a table just cleared off for him. I guess the only possibly unusual thing about it was that this older gentleman was black and I look a lot like General Lee ?Truth is I could give two hoots in hell what color a person is and, if I can help, I’m going to help. The fellow thanked me again as he was on his way out and I didn’t think anything of it until I got to the cash register and the proprietor told me that “that other fellow you offered a seat to paid your bill for you.”Now, If that doesn’t make you feel good, I don’t know what.Thank you, Sir ❤️”
“I stopped by at Livy's and i was given a suggestion to try a Jolted Cow milkshake (its on thier secret menu).Espresso, carmal, and brownie. If that sounds good, its not its delicious!!!Shop local and support those that have great places. Wow stop here you will not be disappointed.”
“We've come here a few times - mostly breakfast until today when we had lunch. My husband really enjoyed the meatloaf (which is rare because he doesn't like most restaurants meatloaf ). Great atmosphere, the staff really cares. All the food has been terrific. Definitely go check this place out when you're in town!”
“This was our first time going to Brenda's, after a coworker recommended her, we were very pleased with the servings and prices of our plates. We are already planning on visiting her establishment again.”
“Nice place, good food, fast service. We ordered at the counter and our food was brought out pretty quickly. The restaurant was very nice and well decorated. The cheese pizza was very good, the buffalo chicken sandwich was mild but tasty. The steak and cheese was very good as were the fries!Kid-friendliness: Large and open, booths and tables.”
“They catered my wedding The food was amazing. We ordered baked chicken and received two different flavors. We included mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, rolls, and salad. They added two homemade red velvet cakes, yams, and meatballs. It was past my expectations... Everything was ready, packed securely, and hot. The cakes were outstanding. There was so much food we were able to share with our church family the next day. They stayed in communication with us and made sure I was completely happy. They went over and beyond to make sure I could include them on my big day !! I highly recommend checking them out.”
“I tried Hylton’s wood-cooking grill for the first time yesterday, and I couldn't believe how great the food was. I have already placed my order for today. It was swamped because of the restaurant being featured on “Hometown Eats,” but the 40-minute wait was worth it, and I'm an impatient person. Call ahead and pick anything on the menu, and you will not be disappointed. The only thing I wish was that I knew of this restaurant before yesterday!”
“This was great authentic food. I had tamales and a torta it was great the bf had chimichangas which he said was good he also got the street corn very disappointed that it was not on the cob just corn out of the can which was not that good he also got the chorizo cheese dip it was noting but grease and water down cheese those 2 items were nasty won't order those again but everything else was great.”
“This place is certainly up-and-coming! I love a sour, and man do they deliver! I'd love to see them partner with other local establishments to sell their amazing brews in other restaurants and bars. Yes - their beer is THAT good!”
“Ordered the chicken and dumplings, mash taters, Mac n cheese and a salad. Was on the table before I finished ordering it. Was good and filling. Better then eating on the truck or subway. Good and friendly ”
“TLDR Summary: Pretty cool place to fly in and eat. I had a fish sandwich and my co-pilot had the Club. Both were very good and very filling. Pricing was very decent as well.In-Depth -Food Quality: My fish sandwich was very big and filling, and pretty tasty. Definitely not the best out there but it was pretty good for inland food. My side salad was also very good and a decent size.Atmosphere: You get to watch aircraft take off and land while eating your meal, so it's hard to loose there. The inside was very clean and shared space with the FBO. Nothing fancy but it will suffice for a cute date or a quick and interesting meal with your wife.Service: Service was great and attentive. No complaints there.Random Note: Their tea is suuuuper sweet. I recommend at least half-and-half.”
“I had no idea there is an Elizabeth's in Collinsville. Had lunch with a friend. Pizza was fantastic. Service is awesome. Very nice employees and service. I love this place. Very quaint and has a nice, relaxing atmosphere. It is a true pizza shop. Just like the old times.”
“Great experience, amazing customer service, Karaoke on weekends if you like to sing. Only only bad thing in my opinion is parking (very limited not a lot of Maneuver ability)”
“Food was as expected. My drink was made correctly, and tasted delicious. Only issue was that they were out of one of the toppings that goes on the drink, but that was explained at the time of order.”
“Absolute BEST place around to eat. If you haven't been the yet, you are sorely missing out. Amazing food, awesome service, great prices, great atmosphere. Beth and Travis are wonderful people and the folks that frequent there are super friendly. Huge portions of food, at a small portion price. You'll enjoy an amazing meal, and usually some comedy provided by the guests. ?Including myself, not guna lie. Anyway, hope to see yaw there!Parking: It's a small lot with about 10 parking spots. But the food is worth it if you have to park up the road and walk.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and menu items available to suit kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp leading to front door, and Wheelchair/♿️ handicap parking available.”
“Any time we get to stop in for a club sub, it's a treat! The bread is delicious, and the dressing is perfectly balanced! The ONLY thing missing was that they no longer serve pickle spears with the sandwiches. I used to get an extra pickle spear because it made for the perfect bite every time... If I'd had a pickle spear, it would've been perfect... but, I NEVER eat a sub without pickles, so the fact that I still love it without a pickle spear really says a lot from me! I'll keep coming back every chance I get. I don't know what it is about that bread and the dressing, but WOW! PLEASE don't EVER change that!!!”
“The food was a good price and the soba is what I got and there was enough to feed two people and it was very good. I went back twice since then and will go back.”
“Horrible experience at Bojangles across the road. Came into this business after requesting my money back from Bojangles and had awesome service. Gladly hand my money to people that deserve it. Work ethic is key! GREAT JOB! IF IT WAS UP TO ME YOU ALL WOULD GET A RAISE!!”
