“A wonderful experience dining out with delicious healthy food“

“Pekking Chinese Food on Cedar Rd just made me lose my mind. Not once, but TWICE—they completely messed up both of my orders. I’m not talking about a little missing soy sauce or forgetting a fork. I mean straight up wrong food, sloppy portions, cold and stale like it had been sitting for hours, and ZERO apology or accountability when I called back. I was polite the first time, gave them a chance. Second time? I was PISSED. And they had the nerve to act like it was my fault.

I swear to God, I’ve never written a review like this before, but I am genuinely livid. I spent my hard-earned money and waited patiently just to be served disrespect and garbage food. This ain’t even “bad takeout,” it’s straight up disrespect on a plate.

Absolutely unacceptable. I will never eat here again and I’ll make sure everyone I know hears about this joke of a restaurant.

I want to sincerely apologize for my previous 1-star review. At the time, I was frustrated and let my emotions get the better of me, which led me to say things that were unfair to this business. The staff here have always been respectful and handled the situation professionally, even when I didn’t. I’ve eaten here before and had good experiences, but I let one mistake cloud my perspective. That wasn’t right, and I take full responsibility for how I reacted. I wanted to update my review to make that clear.

I spent over $60 on the meal that upset me. As a very picky eater, I was surprised and disappointed to find carrots added to all my meals when I specifically ordered chicken and broccoli and other items. I believe the dish should be labeled “chicken, broccoli, and carrots” rather than just “chicken and broccoli” to avoid confusion for others with similar preferences.

“Me and my family ordered from this place for 14 years then moved to Ocean View but we still make a special trip back some times because the lo mein and the teriyaki are hands down the best we've ever had! And the people there are and have always been very friendly and welcoming. Totally worth the trip!“

“I’ve eaten at this restaurant, since it opened. I like just about everything I’ve ever gotten there. This last time I went in, they even added some new things to the menu. Very friendly people also. Only store in the street for 5 miles that has clean resteraunt food . From Indian river out to newtown rd it’s hard to find food that is accommodating dinner lunch and ready to eat meal

There is so much more on the menu - like Mei fun- and goo goo pan - and happy meal - and singnaoore noodle -

“Wow. They have the best Egg foo young's in town. Not like the usual recipe of other chinese take out restaurants. It reminds me of the old Ming's chinese near lynnhaven mall that has new management now. Im a new fan and will be coming back!“

“The GC I went to in the Deep Creek are of Chesapeake was on point. Kind of typical of strip mall Chinese take out joint I guess. No frills but the food was very good. The shrimp egg rolls (a personal favorite) were excellent, my favorite style of shrimp egg roll anyway. The entire order was really good and since moving quite far from where my favorite place, I'm super pleased to have close to home replacement.“
