“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“My mom and I had found this place by accident, but it was the best find. I like to call it a hidden gem, it’s not real noticeable as it sits in a plaza, but the restaurant is so cute and quaint, the food is fresh and the quality is top notch; the service is second to none; you really can’t ask for anything better. This place is everything that you are looking for and more.

I most recently had their honey shrimp with the spicy level, and my gosh it was so good. I’m talking about eyes rolling in the back of your head good. I literally have had nothing like it, and nobody can do it better than this place. You will literally never go wrong in choosing to eat here and support their business. “This is for the Silver Diner in Chantilly,VA. We live a little over 2 hours away but stopped here for dinner after car shopping and we were not disappointed! “A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?“

Nathan's Ice cream 🍦 tastes like the old school Ice cream made on the diary farm, always fresh and doesn't bring an after-taste in the mouth. It makes me think those preparing the menu may be arrogant to believe that price means nothing to patrons. Price matters. Are foods and drinks priced too high to be transparent? Are all patrons so well off that price to them really does not matter? I will sometimes pass over a place if they hide their prices, just because there are so many others that do not hide them. The atmosphere just by itself deserves a reluctant visit.“

“My husband and I love Lil' Bowl. Tonight I decided to surprise my husband with a bento bowl which he has never had. They were so good. There was so much food, we had leftovers for tomorrow. Yum! I had the Pad Thai...very good. My husband had the chicken fried rice, and we both really enjoyed our Bento Boxes. We also really enjoyed the mango sticky rice for our dessert. If you like Thai and Japanese cuisine, you have to try Lil' Bowl. We highly recommend it.“

Having grown up in San Diego, we have been searching for an authentic, family restaurant experience for a long while since moving up the DC area. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Service was spot on. They have another location that is bigger than this one, but honestly, this one is the better spot for food, service, and the overall vibe. I actually live closer to the Falls Church location but still make the drive here because the staff are always super friendly and the experience is consistently good. On Fridays and Saturday, it can get a little busy a hectic but the wait usually isn’t too bad, maybe around like 10–15 minutes. My order has always come out right and the food tastes fresh and delicious every time I’ve been here.

The place itself is clean, condiments are always stocked, and there’s a really nice mural on the wall that gives it a cozy feel. Nice music playing most of the time I come and seating is a little tight but it’s comfortable. Every time I come in,I’m greeted right away and the staff have been the same since I first started coming so they know what they’re doing. If there ever is an issue, they’re quick to fix it. If you have any allergies or food restrictions, they are pretty accommodating to requests so that is something to consider.
Overall, this has been one of my go-to spots for Greek food for years! Consistently good food, good prices, and really great service.“

“This hidden gem needs to be FOUND by everyone! Met one of the owners, Mark, in Pazzo Pomodoro recently who told me about Nozzo Pazzo. I have since fallen in love with their sandwiches the Bugs Bunny and the Green Arrow wraps (vegan) which I return to get regularly. Then found out they also do breakfast! After Mark described how they make the French toast, I couldn’t stop thinking about it! I had it this morning, and believe me it is melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The place is so beautifully set up, and the tunes playing over the speakers were equally awesome! An absolute must try!“
