“We started with their Fried Green Tomatoes which were awesome! The tomatoes were in a delicious sauce and topped with spinach. Best Fried Green Tomatoes we've ever had. Next, even though it was mid-afternoon, I had their pancakes topped with peaches, strawberries and blueberries. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My husband had their Fish Sandwich and was not sorry. The service was excellent. We look forward to going back.”

The food gets better and better and i fine myself looking forward to Mondays to find out the weekly specials lol Benny's is gone and the bartenders are family! “Colonial Italian Restaurant in colonial heights: if you have an Italian taste bud it’s great. My husband and I sat at the bar for our first time there. After sitting there for about 10 mins we were finally asked if we were dinning in or carrying out. coming from a past server/bartender the service was HORRIBLE. Food was great. I got the build your own pasta with a soup. Soup came out first, after finishing that the plate and bowl sat there until we left. My plate from my pasta after being boxed sat there until we left as well. Felt like we were just a nuisance to her evening. The bartender was NOT FRIENDLY, and I know from past profession we have our good days and bad days but what an experience. She had more conversation and friendliness towards her “regulars” that came in than anyone that was sitting at the bar. We will definitely sit at a table next time.”

“My husband took me a date here. It was my first time and I had a great time with him. The food was absolutely amazing! But it is American-Italian. It was not Italian Italian… if you know Italian dish then you will know what i am talking about. Anyway, the waiter was kind and friendly. Which I really care about. The restaurant ambience was nice. I like how the table set up, I like privacy screen. They gave us chocolate, that was nice. Oh the price of the meal was great and unlimited, WHAT! But there was not much alcohol in my cocktail😕💔 We paid like $70 with tax for 2 people. I like the songs! Could be nicee with Italian songs though. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this restaurant 💯”

“I used to live around here and always drive past but never stopped in. I wish I had of ordered some pizza sooner! I cant believe how delicious the sliced meatballs are. The classic feel inside this place gives a certain relief that everything made here is from the heart. This is a great place for a family dinner. “Every time I go to dances I always find what I’m looking for, if not someone always helps me find what I’m looking for! Definitely had to give them a great review after I came in there Black Friday about purchasing a handgun for myself and Wade was incredibly patient, with me going all over the place about what I’m looking for in the next year to start my collection and SUPER knowledgeable! I came back in there the other day to look at some more I overlooked that he had shown me, I’m positive everyone else behind the counter is also knowledgeable as well but I definitely wanted to magnify the understanding and consideration for a woman who isn’t sure what she wants! Ive always had some anxiety about purchasing a handgun because of the stereotype gun-store staff treating people like “potential” customers. I definitely didn’t get that feeling at all. One of the only places I can’t wait to go back to spend my money!”

“The pizza was tasty, but the crust was a little bit too hard. I ordered the 3 meat pizza. What I don't like is, the person that loading the items on the pizza is constantly picking up his phone in between orders and doesn't wash his hands. And the guy thats boxing them up are doing the same thing, although he is not touching the food. This observation was a few weeks ago. But, I like their pizza a lot.”

“This bread store has been here for years! Since I havent been here in a while I decided to come in today to get some hamburger buns and to look around. Upon entering the store I was not greeted nor asked if I needed help. They had a small selection of hamburger buns, hotdog buns and breads. But, make sure you check the best by date on items! Some dates go out sooner then others. Decent pricing paid $1.50 for the buns I needed which is way cheaper than store bought. They also have different snacks (Chips, cakes etc) for cheap pricing as well. Worth coming in to see, but not for the customer service received because that does not apply here!”

“The steamed dumplings one of my favorite dumplings. You can tell it's a family recipe and their custom dumpling sauce is addictive.

Even though I moved away from the restaurant a while ago. I'll order two sets of dumplings for myself and a third one to play distraction so no one knows I have two sets of secret dumplings to keep all to myself.

They still taste just as amazing from when I tried them in 2014 to present day”

“This place is great. Our order was quick and easy, and the food options were great. Fries are nice and crispy, not too salty and properly seasoned, and also the food is absolutely delectable. The Gyro’s served here are absolutely great. Drink options are good too. Only reason why service is a 4 is because they were understaffed, but they were doing a great job nonetheless. 5/5.”

“1:57pm DES was amazing very friendly very welcoming and very fast at getting the job done and very honest about how fresh her cookies were that were on display I am amazed I’ve been wanting subway for weeks now I visited 2 subways in Petersburg before coming here and they were horrible and very unwelcoming but DES changed my opinion on that coming to this location DES u did great Girl Thank you I hope management sees this ASAP !”
