“Very popular lake on nice days with plenty of activities for families from fishing to hiking the trail, and Frisbee golf! The lake was designed for fisherman in mind so to be on the water with your own personal craft you are supposed to be actively fishing according to the regs, but they don't tend to enforce it anymore. I usually fish from my Kayak, but there are plenty of shore access places as well. Because of that this place is heavily fished, but if you have patience you can hook some big fish or spend a day with children catching numerous pan fish.“

“Hidden gem of a shop, literally as you have to navigate through an office building to get there. The presumably owner was wonderful and very helpful, he also emphasized his use of extra virgin olive oil for health. I don’t think the Chicken Msakhen I got was on the online menu, but so so tasty.

More of a takeout shop than a date night vibe, but it does have free WiFi! Please consider giving them your business, it’s so worth it“

“If you are gluten intolerant this may be the beer for you. I have been gluten intolerant for 13 years now. I used to enjoy a beer here and there. Some of the gluten free ones out there are eh, at best. This beer has a full body taste. I did not have any issues drinking it. Now, that being said if you are gluten intolerant you must know yourself really well. It may not be for you, but than again it may. I am just excited that I had no issues and enjoyed a full tasting beer!“

“This is my second time trying Honoo and I’m very pleased with the food and service. We tried the yakitori, tacos, mentaiko udon, sushi rolls, and other appetizer dishes - they were all delicious! The interior is also very modern and the ambience is nice. I highly recommend.“

While savory, the pork with dried bean curd was slightly saltier than anticipated but satisfying when eaten with rice.“

“Came for dessert after dinner at the plaza next door, and we got the Red Bean Bingsoo. Love that they use shaved milk, and not shaved ice 🥹 it is on the pricier end for the amount of bingsoo you get (the V-shaped bowl is slightly deceptive), but every bite was worth it.

“This was my first time at Nathan’s Dairy Bar. I got the hot apples with pumpkin pie and graham cracker twist soft serve ice cream. AMAZING. quickly became one of my favorite soft serve spots in all the places I’ve lived (which is a lot). The ice cream wasn’t overly sweet but had a nice obvious flavor without that cloying fakeness ice creams often have. Partnered with their spiced, warm apples they serve on the side to avoid melting it was possibly the perfect fall treat. The apples were nicely cooked and slighhhtly crunchy while still being obviously stewed in the caramel and spices. They had a bold flavor that was again perfectly sweet instead of dripping in sugar. SO good.“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

We love the fried tuna, avocado, and cream cheese roll, shoyu ramen, and their bento boxes. Everything we try tastes so fresh and flavorful! Can’t wait to keep sampling more of their menu.“

“After hearing of Bunnyman for months, I decided to hit it up with a few friends on a Friday night. It did not disappoint at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is serene with great music. The music volume is perfect too so you can still socialize without having to shout. My favorite amenities though, are the self-pour feature, the diversity of beer flavors, and the ease of paying. The taps are really easy to use and to keep track of how much your bar tab is accumulating. On top of that, you don't have to wait at all for a refill- just head on up to the tap and pour, amazing system! The Irish Red beer was my go-to, and it was very pleasing to see that on tap when it's not actually Oktoberfest season, (I can never seem to find it most times of the year). We will all definitely be back, as well as looking forward to visiting their Lorton location! Keep up the great work and the awesome selection of beers, mad props!“

We were so pleased with our wedding cake; the flavors, texture, and uniqueness of what she delivered! The cake received rave reviews from all our guests & it was just stunning! Alison further accommodated our distant guests who joined us via Zoom and helped us send them some goodies and treats via a celebration box! Further, she even recommended our caterer and helped calm some anxious nerves about the dynamics of planning a wedding during a world pandemic! “I recently visited Makchang Dodok K-BBQ, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made us feel right at home, walking us through the menu and offering helpful suggestions for first-timers. You can tell they really care about creating a great experience for their guests.

The service was fast and efficient without feeling rushed. Our server kept checking in to make sure everything was cooked to our liking and that our drinks and side dishes were always full. It’s rare to find such a friendly and professional team at a busy restaurant, and they truly stood out.

As for the food—delicious! The meats were fresh and flavorful, and the signature makchang (beef or pork intestine) was perfectly prepared with that satisfying char. If you’re a fan of authentic Korean BBQ, this place delivers both in taste and atmosphere.

Highly recommend for a casual night out, a group dinner, or anyone looking to try something new with excellent service to match. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Interestingly, the best part of Ono is the sister businesses co-located with them, a BBQ place. Most of the Ono beers were OK but low on characer (we tasted all of the non-IPA beers). The best, which was, in fact, quite good, was Hellyes Helles. Ono brewing runs on a pretty cool self-service system. You, or your party, depending on how you want to pay, are given a card. You present the card to a reader at each tap and pour as much as you like. The volume of each pour is tracked and charged when you check out. Taster, as well as larger glasses, are available. I'd go back, but I might just stick to the Hellyes, unless I wanted some more coconut porter, which was my second favorite.“

“We will definitely return! Totally were pleased to see a great outdoor area close to kayaking. Service couldn't be better. Delivery was unexpectedly quick! The popcorn shrimp was ample and so well seasoned. The hot pretzel came out overcooked and too hard, but they were so accommodating with a replacement, and didn't ask for it, but they refunded us for the inconvenience. Totally unnecessary, but the thoughtfulness and friendliness caught our attention and is a large reason we'll continue to patronize them. Also, I could definitely bring home a large dish of the cucumber salad -- so refreshing and tasty! Hope there's a fall/winter plan to keep it open.
