They have many ice cream flavors, but Superman was not the tasty Superman ice cream I know so I didn’t really enjoy that flavor.
There was a park behind the parlor which was cute for kids.

“Hidden gem of a shop, literally as you have to navigate through an office building to get there. The presumably owner was wonderful and very helpful, he also emphasized his use of extra virgin olive oil for health. I don’t think the Chicken Msakhen I got was on the online menu, but so so tasty.

More of a takeout shop than a date night vibe, but it does have free WiFi! Please consider giving them your business, it’s so worth it“

“If you are gluten intolerant this may be the beer for you. I have been gluten intolerant for 13 years now. I used to enjoy a beer here and there. Some of the gluten free ones out there are eh, at best. This beer has a full body taste. I did not have any issues drinking it. Now, that being said if you are gluten intolerant you must know yourself really well. It may not be for you, but than again it may. I am just excited that I had no issues and enjoyed a full tasting beer!“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“We drove about 25 minutes to get to this place and let me tell ya, it was definitely worth the drive 👍 We’re from sunny (and hot) Florida, so being surrounded by ice cream becomes the norm. I was craving it on this cold evening and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

It’s now one of my top ice cream places. The quality and price really can’t be beat. When you’re so used to being charged $5.75 per scoop, seeing $6.95 for a flight of 4 is incredible. My bf and I got the strawberry cheesecake sundae and the flight of four. It had pumpkin cheesecake, the bees knees, brownie bomb, and bones & stones. My personal favorite was the bees knees followed by the bones & stones. The taste was creamy, rich, but not overly sweet. Perfect 😋

There was a small line but it seemed to go so fast I didn’t even have time to make up my mind on a flavor! The staff is nice and I loved the cow out front. Next time we find ourselves in Virginia, we’ll definitely be coming back. This place lived up to all the hype!“

“Not sure how to graciously ask this question, but I am usually taken back when I see foodies without prices on their menu. It makes me think those preparing the menu may be arrogant to believe that price means nothing to patrons. Price matters. Are foods and drinks priced too high to be transparent? Are all patrons so well off that price to them really does not matter? I will sometimes pass over a place if they hide their prices, just because there are so many others that do not hide them. The atmosphere just by itself deserves a reluctant visit.“

“My family dined here on Saturday lunch. It was difficult to find parking spot so we called the restaurant. You have to park at a garage across the street, and the restaurant will validate the ticket.

My family ordered donkotsu shio, donkotsu miso, and grilled hamachi. Ramen are just ok. I would not order ramen again if I go back here. There’s nothing really special about it. Grilled Hamachi was super soft, juicy, and not salty - exactly what I was looking for my young children.

Servers weren’t that friendly and there were only two servers. They were so busy to check on us. I waited like a meerkat for good 10 mins to ask for a check because I couldn’t get their attentions.

Overall, decent japanese restaurant but I am not sure if I would go back unless I am in the area.“

Its exterior is modest, but the interior offers a spacious, modern ambiance with friendly service. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu and generous portions. I appreciate discovering a Chinese eatery that serves traditional dishes, avoiding westernized or Americanized variants that tend to be overly sweet.

Some dishes we loved and highly recommend:
1. Steamed pork dumplings, truly homemade with authentic flavor.
2. Pressure-cooked pork belly: tender, juicy, and mildly spicy.
3. Iron plate Mongolian beef: similar to Korean bulgogi but less sweet and saucy—very good!
4. General Tso’s chicken: a classic dish with chicken balls in a subtly sweet and mildly spicy sauce.
5. Pumpkin seafood tofu soup: sizable enough to share, with balanced flavors from pumpkin and seafood that weren’t overpowering
6. Fried rice: among the best in Northern Virginia, with a deep, savory flavor from stir-fried onions.“

“After hearing of Bunnyman for months, I decided to hit it up with a few friends on a Friday night. It did not disappoint at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is serene with great music. The music volume is perfect too so you can still socialize without having to shout. My favorite amenities though, are the self-pour feature, the diversity of beer flavors, and the ease of paying. The taps are really easy to use and to keep track of how much your bar tab is accumulating. On top of that, you don't have to wait at all for a refill- just head on up to the tap and pour, amazing system! The Irish Red beer was my go-to, and it was very pleasing to see that on tap when it's not actually Oktoberfest season, (I can never seem to find it most times of the year). We will all definitely be back, as well as looking forward to visiting their Lorton location! Keep up the great work and the awesome selection of beers, mad props!“

We were so pleased with our wedding cake; the flavors, texture, and uniqueness of what she delivered! The cake received rave reviews from all our guests & it was just stunning! Alison further accommodated our distant guests who joined us via Zoom and helped us send them some goodies and treats via a celebration box! Further, she even recommended our caterer and helped calm some anxious nerves about the dynamics of planning a wedding during a world pandemic! “I recently visited Makchang Dodok K-BBQ, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made us feel right at home, walking us through the menu and offering helpful suggestions for first-timers. You can tell they really care about creating a great experience for their guests.

The service was fast and efficient without feeling rushed. Our server kept checking in to make sure everything was cooked to our liking and that our drinks and side dishes were always full. It’s rare to find such a friendly and professional team at a busy restaurant, and they truly stood out.

As for the food—delicious! The meats were fresh and flavorful, and the signature makchang (beef or pork intestine) was perfectly prepared with that satisfying char. If you’re a fan of authentic Korean BBQ, this place delivers both in taste and atmosphere.

I had brought a cake as it was my mother's birthday and before they brought the cake out, they brought out a cookie with a candle on it (compliments from the restaurant). Why would they essentially ruin my surprise of a birthday cake by bringing out a cookie first? Seems like if there is a cake, then the cookie should be replaced with the cake, right? All employees - bartender, host, server, manager - were helpful, happy, and accommodating. The ambiance is really nice as well. New place with lots of sunlight.“

“We had such a great meal and experience at Bing Bing Dumplings (formerly Panda) in Vienna! The place is super cute inside with fun panda décor...cozy, clean, and great for families. The owner and her family are so kind and welcoming, she even showed us how the dumplings are made while we waited!

The dumplings are incredible. They're huge, packed with delicious filling, and clearly homemade. Portions are generous and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The cucumber salad was bright and refreshing too. Ordering on the tablet is easy, with photos to help guide you.

It’s the perfect spot for a quick, satisfying meal after running errands on Maple Ave, between kids’ sports, or just to enjoy delicious food made with love. Definitely a new Vienna favorite; we can’t wait to go back!“
