This is a great coffee shop, but it has one critical flaw - the place is very cold. I'm here in late February, and everyone in the place, including myself, is wearing a coat. I asked one of the employees what the thermostat was set on, and she responded, somewhat rudely, that she didn't know. She then said it was on auto. We've been coming to Peet's since they took over the old Caribou Coffee location about 10 years ago. A number of the staff have been there for a long time. They know me, they know my husband. Neither of us can drink decaf and on the occasions I've messed up ordering ahead on the app, they've actually held my order to verify that is what I wanted (thank you!!!). Simply put: better than Starbucks in almost every way. Instead of following trends and frequently changing their menu, Peet's sticks to classics they know how to do really well and nails them each time. I haven't ordered a bad food item from here. Some drinks weren't as sweet as I expected, but I just added sugar. The service is welcoming and friendly.
