“The food is worth the price!! Tried the butter chicken and also the chicken curry. The owner gave my coworker and I two free chicken Salonas (the pastry with chicken in it). We were very happy and they were so tasty and delicious that I got two more to go! Very friendly service for sure and that food mannnnn. It’s good!“
“Came here on a Saturday night, food was excellent but pricey for what it was. Maybe it's because I've been to many mom and pop spots in Queens NY with just as delicious food for half the price nevertheless its a great spot. Highlights include the soup, dumplings, and any of the hand pulled noodle dishes.“
“Absolutely 5-?place. Why? (1) They are genuinely hospitable and you will feel their positive vibes as soon as they start greeting you. (2) The place is very clean, well-maintained, and organized, with good distance between tables. I like their booths better?. (3) They serve authentic and VERY delicious Afghan dishes. Kabobs are soft and juicy. Shrimps are crazy delicious and soft (never chewy). Ghabeli-polow is the best! (4) Their quality of service and dishes are consistently great. (5) Their price is competitively low for such large portions.Highly recommended!“
“Large portion sizes and good food- one platter with an appetizer and salad was more than enough for two people. The service was warm and they sized up the servings, as well as gave us extra water and dates for iftar. Nice local spot to visit.“
“Delicious meal! Highly recommended. 10/10 service and experience. Would happily return to try more items off the menu. Miriam was our hostess and server. She explained the menu with great detail and was a sheer delight to interact with. I had the chicken bowl with my sides being the chickpeas, eggplant, spinach, and naan. It's fun to mix and match all these delightful tastes and flavors. I washed the meal down with their luscious yogurt drink and had leftovers to cover dinner! Thanks so much for a great meal. See you next time!“
“This hotpot restaurant is fantastic! The flavors are authentic and delicious, truly capturing the essence of traditional hotpot. Plus, the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food you get. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic hotpot at a fair price!“
“This is such a cute and friendly neighborhood kabob shop! It is really clean. I ate the most delicious Qabili palow since I left Afghanistan. This is my test for any Afghan restaurant. The carrots were fresh-tasting, the raisins soft and sweet, the rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked, and it had lots of tender lamb chunks buried in the rice. Plus generous side of sabzi and lamb curry. I ordered side of man and got a complete loaf!Prices so reasonable. I will be back, and I recommend to everyone in Arlington to try this yummy food.“
“Delicious Shawarma and Gyro at Capital Doner on P Street, Washington StarsReview:Capital Doner on P Street in Washington DC is a hidden gem for anyone craving mouthwatering shawarma and gyro. I recently tried their steak box with fries and a complete salad with dressing, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, complemented perfectly by the crispiness of the fries. The complete salad was fresh and vibrant, providing a refreshing contrast to the savory protein. What truly sets Capital Doner apart is their garlic sauce and spicy options. As a fan of bold flavors, I found these sauces to be the perfect accompaniment to my meal. The garlic sauce added a creamy richness, while the spicy option provided a satisfying kick that elevated every bite.I frequent Capital Doner often, not only for their delectable dishes but also for their flexible closing hours. Whether it's a late-night craving or a quick lunch fix, Capital Doner has always been there to satisfy my appetite.Overall, I highly recommend Capital Doner to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Washington DC. With flavorful proteins, fresh salads, and fantastic sauces, it's a dining experience you won't want to miss.“
“It was just okay to me. My kids loved it. They liked the chickpeas and bread. I thought the portion size was reasonable. The chicken kabob was probably the best. The beef and lamb were a bit dry. There is no luxury here for dining. You are just eating in a small place with enough space for about 20 people max. It was decently clean. I would eat lunch here again. It’s not a date night though.“
“The food? The service? The atmosphere? Five stars across the board. There’s no corner like Pizza Corner (Halal). You’d be remiss not to stop here after a fun night out on the town! May I recommend the mushroom jumbo slice, chicken fingers (with honey mustard, of course) and mozzarella sticks. It’s everything you could ever wish for and more. You’re welcome in advance.“
“Ok, firstly, the food is incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, on a Saturday night there was only one waiter for the whole place who was occasionally assisted by who I assume was the manager. This caused some confusion and led to my wife being served her meal 30 minutes after I was. They gave us cake, which was really tasty, but I couldn’t help feeling bad for the waiter. My review would be better if the restaurant had more people working there.“
“Honestly, this is some of the best Persian food I've had in an upscale restaurant. I've had a ton in LA and Dubai. Each dish is thoughtful and incredibly well seasoned. They are true to traditional preparations, with an elegant flare in presentation. The one big minus was the service. The gentleman was kind and knowledgeable, but they forgot an appetizer, and food came out rather slowly. It wasn't too busy either. This rating could easily been a 5 star, with better service.“
“In this unassuming spot lies your next tasty meal. We shared a combo #8 with a chicken and a seekh (ground beef) kabob with rice, small salad of lettuce/cucumbers/onions, chana (chickpeas) and roti (bread). Had a fresh mango lassi to go with it and ate it too fast to take a picture. It was plenty of food for us to share and enjoy. Don’t expect much of the decor - it’s the food and the kind people that make this place great.“
“Love this place - it’s one of my favorites in the DMV area! I tried this place for the first time about 4 years ago, loved it, and have been coming here since. Even though I don’t live in the area any more - I make to stop by every time I’m in town.Delicious food - I appreciate that there are many vegetarian sides to choose from. The service is friendly and kind every time. Definitely recommend!“
“Was driving by and noticed it’s location very easy to spot so I had to try it and I’m glad I did MOST AMAZING FLAVORS the food was great the service was friendly and very attentive to the customers, definitely a must try if you love Mediterranean food an nice change from what has been there. I highly recommend “
“The food and service at this place is always awesome. Especially the gentleman who runs the front of the house. His name is Marvin, and he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. If you want good food, pretty quickly, and like people in general, this is a great place to get it. I've become a regular customer and I love this place.“
“I’ve tried almost all of their menu items and they are all delicious. Quality and freshness of their ingredients are noticeable and hands down best burger and fries in the area. As a Persian myself, Maman Joon is delivering true persian flavors. Love their new breakfast menu and you have to try the Egg Benedict it’s soo good(Lovin it ????).“
“This unassuming and hole in the wall restaurant is the real deal and what a treat! Had friendly service and deliciously authentic super FRESH food, made to order from scratch. I could see the cook in the kitchen and she ran a very clean and organized kitchen. Think homecooking and you'll be happy with what you get. I enjoyed every bite, and the corn tortillas are as good as it gets. I'm looking forward to eating my leftovers tomorrow! ?“
