“What a fabulous place! The food was excellent. I went with a friend and we ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and the Hot Mama, each having a half of both sandwiches. Both were good but we agreed the Hot Mama was our favorite. I had a white bean and rosemary soup which was the best soup I’ve had in my life. My friend had the loaded potato soup and said it was excellent. The atmosphere is wonderfully quaint and the staff was friendly.“

“This place was on my old sales route up through NC and VA mountains. I would always stop in going up and coming back down through my route every month. The food is very good, but their pies are second to none! I would always put in an order for a couple pies on my way up to pick up and bring home on my way back to NC. If I remember correctly their pies were featured in several VA newspapers too. Definitely give them a try! I’m going to be in the area this weekend and am making sure to stop in for old time sake!“

“Had a wonderful meal with my wife and son. The cheeseburger is a fantastic choice with onion rings! The corn nuggets were great along with the salad and chicken tenders. “Traveling from PA to FL decided to stay the night. We chose The Mason Jar for dinner after reading reviews. It did not disappoint. Marissa was our server and she was great- gave samples of a beer to try- friendly and made sure we had whatever we needed. We had the Crab dip, Catfish, Fish and chips and Chicken fried chicken. Everything was delicious! Drinks were great also! We will def be back on future trips.“

“Fresh and hot food, very quick service. It wasn't very busy when I went so the speed of the service may vary. I got the spicy Clux deluxe sandwich and it was surprisingly quite spicy (I like spicy food and most place's "spicy" chicken I don't consider very spicy). I also got mozzarella sticks which were alright, unfortunately received cocktail sauce rather than marinara. I'll likely return again for lunch if I'm in the area but it's not a place I would make a special trip out to try.Parking: This is a drive in diner so be prepared to eat in your vehicle.“
