“Well, I don't know what they must be doing wrong at the Ft Lee location but i have had QBoda in Norfolk and Henrico and chipotle does not compare.I think there is more on Chipotle's menu but the taste at QBoda is better, more authentic (not sure why this has become a competition between the two)I guess people like what they like, but if you like flavor i would suggest QBoda at any location, hands down“

“This is the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in Virginia! The food is delicious, and the service is great! The waiters were so patient and pleasant even though it took us forever to decide what to order. (That's really their fault though because they have so many amazing dishes to choose from!) I ended up getting the Texas taco loco salad and was not disappointed. It was as big as the plate and had steak, chicken, and shrimp. The flavor was out of this world. The waiters checked with us often to make sure we didn't need anything and did an excellent job at keeping my tea refilled... a must for me!The only negative thing I can come up with is that they aren't in my neighborhood, so I can't eat there as often as I'd like! On the positive side, the rumor is that they will soon have a food truck so that may change!! If you haven't been here, you NEED to try it. You won't be disappointed!“

“Don't sleep on La Loteria! The location in a former Burger King/Convenience Store may look sus, but the food and service is on point. This is my new favorite spot for delicious Mexican food! I've been twice now and I can highly recommend the birria tacos and the vegan jamaica blossom tacos that are served up street style in thick homemade tortillas. Packed with flavor, they come with a generous portion of rice and beans on the side. Guacamole is AMAZING -- freshly made and is served in a molcajete. They serve alcohol, so you can enjoy your meal with a delicious top-shelf margarita or a pitcher of cerveza. Service is very attentive and the staff is eager to answer any questions you may have. This is literally a Mom & Pop business... you'll definitely meet the family and fall in love with them like I did.Vegetarian options: Try the jamaica blossom tacos! Meat and gluten free...and packed with flavor.“

“We love going here! Everyone is friendly and the prices and food are great! I get the Nachos Supreme Chicken every time we go and husband gets something different every time. The food is ALWAYS great and the staff is wonderful. It is a very family oriented run business. The owner is always there and talking to everyone. They get to know the people that come in. They usually know what we want to drink, dip, and my order. They only need to take my husbands order. If I could I would go multiple times a week. Prices are still great! Absolutely love them!“

“My go to place, however this trip I was overcharged $6 for my bill. Questioned myself before leaving but gave them benefit of the doubt. Checked menu when I got home and sure enough was overcharged. Ensure you check your order ticket prior to paying.“

“Sorry, didn't take pictures.... The Mexican corn was exceptional. Really, the best Mexican corn I've had. We got steak, pulled pork and the Mexican sausage & egg tacos. The steak was good. The sausage was yummy but spicy and the pork to me was bland.But, my husband loved all three tacos. Im a sauce kinda gal and they only had 2 sauces. A Verde which was too sour and a Habanero that was sour and hot. Neither of us liked the sauces. We ordered the potatoes and the rice. Both were good. Again, I like something on my rice, same as my tacos. We ordered the Tres Leches and it was yummy. I'll go back just for the corn, and try their quesadilla or burrito. They make their own tortilla's. And, everything is made from scratch. Not out of a bag. ***Everything here is Gluten freeand you can't tell it by the taste. They even carry the gluten free beer. Super friendly. Owner came out and talked to us for a while after we finished. Server was fast and friendly. Great place to experience.Don't be fooled by the outside. Hidden gem inside and very clean!“

“Great neighborhood place owned and operated by a local family, at least one of whom will help serve you. Frequently the owner is the guy refreshing drinks and helping clear away serving dishes. Excellent food! Have eaten here about once a week for the last 16 years.Vegetarian options: Half a dozen or so dishes, including a combo that we often order.Parking: Built about 1975 as a Pizza Hut - parking lot for 1970s land barges.Kid-friendliness: The place is operated by a family, almost all of whom have little ones.“

“What a nice family run Mexican restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. Food delicious. My chicken fajitas were huge with perfectly grilled peppers and onions that even came with a side of guacamole. Yesmin, our waitress was so sweet.“

“Had the Fajitas Texano and it was perfect. All of the proteins were cooked well and the cheese sauce wasn't bitter. The staff is super friendly and really gave that family vibe. I didn't have a drink but someone else in the restaurant did and they said it was good. Will definitely be back again and again.“

“Mexican restaurant located right next to fort Lee Federal credit Union is a very quaint, well it restaurant with delicious Mexican food. The owner, a wonderful man with great personality is always there to greet his customers. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable. The wait staff leave a little to be desired but overall my visit was wonderful.“

“Went here based on a review on the Lakeside FB page picture. Ordered the, cannot spell and dont feel like looking up, fried pork bites (maybe belly). Unfortunately, ours were way over fried. Very dark brown and a hard chew. If not over cooked; would be awesome! We ate a couple but left the rest. The place is small and very clean. Very nice staff. Real coke, in the bottle, with a cup of ice. Cane sugar... it is different, if you didn't know. Therefore, no refills here. Also, you do not get free chips and salsa just for sitting at a table. You will pay about 5.00 for chips and salsa, you want cheese dip? Another 5.00. Fine. Do you want authentic flavor? (My opinion) Shed your Americanized view of hispanic foods. Look at the menu, you get the chance to eat things that you've only seen on the Food Network or if you were in an hispanic country. We also had a taco salad. Lovely and crispy. The bottom layer was some hot red sauce (both in heat and nicely spiced - so delish, not killer) - rice, shredded cheese, steak bits (chix or shrimp is also an option) iceberg lettuce (not uniformly shredded), guac, sour cream, few diced tomatoes and a bit more shredded cheese (mostly yellow - assume cheddar but to little to tell)Bottom line. The taco salad was awesome - get a fork-ful of it all. All of the flavors blended. We loved that the steak was charred but still tender. Tiny diced bites of diced steak, but it was good! We would have like a medium cook, yet charred - but even fully cooked, they know how to slice the steak, so it was not chewy. After you eat here.... Go a couple doors down for the in-house made ice cream. Try the pine nut "pinion' - or any that strikes your fancy. Put it on your list.“
