“I was at Grottoes subway at 7:00 pm Friday night on October 4th. The young girl that waited on me was excellent. My complaint is the other employee on duty went home. Leaving only one young girl there. She was trying to do online orders and walk ins. She was handling the job, but should not have been expected to work alone on a Friday night. Not safe..“

“A pretty standard subway. Almost no one there on a weekday at 17:00. Conveniently located just east of Harrisonburg on the way to Charlottesville. Could use a little maintenance in the bathroom, but everything worked and it was fairly clean. Food was good, no problems.“

“We were detoured by this place due to a crash so we stopped to go ahead and grab dinner. Staff was friendly, one lady put too much veggies on my sandwich but that's no big deal. I'm from Tennessee and they always cut the cheese in half so you get 4 half pieces on a footling but this restaurant used whole pieces which was nice. It may seem silly to comment on and maybe Subway has changed their cheese portions but I thought it was a nice change because those half pieces don't really give you much. There's a nice view of the mountains surrounding the area.“
