“The rock star staff at Grey Goose catered our wedding reception at Hampton Roads Event Center in May 2024. From our first phone call with Dana to the many follow up emails and menu adjustments the process was easy and Dana’s crew delivered nothing less than excellence on our big day. We were so pleased by the diverse catering options to create our custom menu of heavy horsd’oeuvlres, cheese board, meatballs, salads, and a bite sized dessert table was presented elegantly and most delicious! We did not want traditional catering with mass produced stainless steel serving troughs of food, but leaned more towards supporting local for a botique quality alongside an elegant presentation and Grey Goose delivered 100%. Much gratitude to Chef Dana, Chef Phillip, catering manager, bartender, and additional staff for going above and beyond anticipating our needs and quickly responding to every request and making our big day seemless and carefree. “I came to Baked today on a friend’s recommendation and I am already hooked. I eat a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches and theirs is the BEST! They chop up the bacon and it was cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly as well. This is not just a pizza place, they have breakfast, sandwiches, ice cream, a big wine bottle selection, full bar, gaming play area and cozy corner. It has it all!! I will be back to work from here and enjoy all they have to offer.“

The only complaints is that we were seated in a spot that wasnt great bc of foot traffic and the servers forgot about us for a little bit. But other than that the experience was amazing. “We go here about once a month, primarily because they’re the only buffet in town. They used to put $3 off coupons in the Val Pak, but stopped recently for whatever reason. While the food is good, it’s predictable (they pretty much always have the same items) and if you show up before dinner you’re typically getting older food that’s sat there since lunchtime. Also their prices have gone up considerably since we started going, almost double what we used to pay. There’s a large seafood selection which is mostly unappealing to me, and I love seafood, I just don’t care for crawfish, stuffed crab or mussels. There’s been better buffets in town but sadly they’re all gone now. So, if you’re going, go during lunch or after 5, maybe steer clear of the seafood, and don’t get your hopes up that this will be your new favorite spot.“

“Service is great. Atmosphere is clean, inside feels more authentic and less like a chain than Cava and they offer more topping choices. However, they are missing lamb kefta or lamb meatballs (they offer shredded lamb) and a spicy harissa paste/hummus. I tried the harissa sauce but it’s too sweet for my liking (as a harissa sauce). I guess they have to cater to the chicken/steak crowd or lamb might cost a bit more but having a decent lamb meatball would put this place above Cava for me. Send this up to c-suite!“
