We absolutely loved the chicken bites with and without sauce. ?Kid-friendliness: Chicken nuggets meal for family was great. “We were in town visiting for a conference, and we found the restaurant online. We headed to the restaurant, but when we got there the owner explained that the restaurant had just closed for the evening. He gave us a few recommendations on other places to eat, and we started to search for an Uber. A few minutes later, the owner, Tysean, opened the door and offered to go back in the kitchen and cook something for us. We couldn’t pass that offer up. We waited for a few minutes, and he brought us out some of the best chicken I’ve eaten in a long time along with some, nicely seasoned potato wedges and hot buttery honey biscuits. Along with some honey mustard dipping sauce and sweet tea to wash it all down, we had an amazing meal. I’ll definitely be back, and you should visit if you are in Richmond.“
“I got the Chicken Fiesta soup and the Jalapeño Holly chicken salad…it was my first time there. I was not at all impressed with the soup! It was MUSHY and Watery….however; The chicken salad was very flavorful….I didn’t have to add any pepper or salt (lol) and I ate every drop! It made up for the soup I had to trash…..AND I’m a picky eater! It was pretty good for the first time (and I’m basing that off of the chicken salad alone) - I will definitely try again though…but not the soup.“
“Absolutely love this place. The chicken is delicious. Have tried the meals and the chicken salad. The bed of lettuce is always crisp and fresh. Mixed it up alittle today and purchased the SALMON salad. Fabulous! Moist, cooked to perfection. Customer service is always excellent and served with a smile. “Dropped by this Hispanic spot and wow, their “Mondongo” soup hit the spot – just the right kick of spice without burning your taste buds off, perfect for the Richmond cold days. I threw in some rice, onions, cilantro, and lime, and it was next-level good. My wife had the fajitas and they were also amazing. Can't wait to hit up their bread selection next time. This place is legit, totally blows the nearby fast-food joints out of the water. Def coming back!“

“I was excited to see the Canes on Arthur Ashe Blvd.. Definitely a different type of fast food in the area. I just went through the drive thru and my order was taken swiftly. The young woman who took my order was friendly. The ambiance of pulling into the drive thru was a little cramped. It is understandable though because of the location. I wish it had more than one entrance and exit. As you try and exit you block those coming in. The combo I got was good. I live the cane sauce it really set off the chicken. Good experience I'll return and go inside to eat .“
“If you have never had Golden Skillet, you have to visit and give it a whirl. The chicken is well seasoned and crispy. Get a 4 piece, add potato wedges, potato salad, or any of their many other side options and there's enough for two. My family and I have been customers for many, many years and have enjoyed every visit.“
