“Can never go wrong, good food at a good price!“

“Fried rice is delicious. Crab Rangoons are amazing too. They load it up with crab meat and not a lot of places do that anymore. I got the garlic chicken which is spicy, but again, not a lot of places make it spicy enough. They did make it spicy! And it was delicious! Definitely coming back and getting more.“

“Let me preface this review with my son has been the one to go in and pick up...We have only ordered Bourbon Chicken and it is absolutely AMAZING. The best we've had hands down. They are also using DoorDash now! Based on my son's description, the inside of the restaurant could use some work. It's a shame to have a business with such good food and risk it by not cleaning.“

“Phenomenal dinning experience. I drive past a couple of other so/so Chinese Restaurants to get to this one. I haven't had a bad experience yet. The food is spot on for standard American/Chinese Cuisine. Friendly staff. They don't look at me or treat me like I have COVID or some other contagion. I highly recommend this place. ??

“We have been eating there for 30 plus years and the food is delicious. Great service and the food is served hot . Our favorite place to go. I do like the old atmosphere better. Don't care for the streamline updates. I guess we were used to the other decor. Highly recommended.“

When driving through for a work trip, I needed somewhere to stop for lunch. Looked up hibachi places and thought about skipping this one, but give it a shot hoping the food was really good. I was not let down.

Interior is as you’d expect.
Service was frequently and fast.
Did was plenty and plenty good.

All in all, I’d say this is a goldilocks kind of spot - Just Right.

“We’ve been getting take out from Excel for more than a decade. The food is always good and the orders correct. We’ve ordered in person, on the phone and now order online. I don’t know the name of the woman who works there. She’s been there since we’ve been coming. She’s always friendly and quick with the orders. I highly recommend.“

“My go to take out spot for Chinese food in the Tricities area. I have been a regular patron for over a decade. There are a few tables for dining in. Although the place could use an update. Some of my favorites include egg drop soup, chicken teriyaki sticks and their chow fun noodles. Lunch specials are a fulfilling portion. Only thing missing are the fortune cookies.“

I've tried a couple other spots in the area for lunch breaks. My coworkers and I keep coming back to China Star in Petersburg. Some of the best Chinese food we've had in years. ????“

“I ordered the vegetable chow mei fun. It was kind of dry but i could handle that. My problem was, very little vegetables. I only saw 1 strip of onion, small strips of carrots, and very little baby broccoli florets. I asked for the vegetable mei fun so i would have enough vegetables. I literally had to search for the vegetables. I feel cheated and disappointed. I Don't mean to complain, but i think you should be more conscious of this type thing. I really wanted my vegetables.

“Tryed a lunch special for the first time at this establishment. Walking in the building, it looked bland and dated. My food was hot and actually really good. I was surprised and will be back to try another dish.

Parking: Shopping center parking.“

“The place was clean , don't get me wrong , but they had a lunch buffet before COVID and the setup is still there , including the labels for the food and sign with price of the buffet .
I got an Orange Chicken combo and a Sesame Chicken combo , neither of which I'd purchased from them since COVID . The smell of everything inside the dishes smelled just like they used to way back when . The taste and texture were also pretty much as I remember , down to the dash of cinnamon sugar on the egg rolls .
I will definitely be putting this place back near the top of my choices on payday Friday when I treat myself.“

“We eat from here lot!!!! I love the staff, super sweet!!! My order is always right, always more than we can eat in 1 sitting. My partner & I have NEVER gotten sick from the food. If they had a buffet I'd eat here every night!!! After a horrible day in May I decided to order dinner here, I accidentally dropped my bank card outside & the owner was sweet enough to hold it for me & wanted a lot of details before she just handled the card over to anyone. I was very grateful for that!!! If I was having a party I'd have Bamboo cater for me.“

“I picked up food Easter Sunday for our ladies group (my baby sister turned me on to the Red House & I've never been disappointed) shrimp fried rice, wings, triple delight, egg rolls and spring rolls the food is always fresh and hot and they give you your money worth... the ladies loved it and of course I did too this is my go-to for Chinese

“Their food have been consistently delicious starting before the pandemic. Their restaurant’s ambiance is simple and relaxing. Since the pandemic, they are only serving take out or delivery. We have been enjoying their food for many years and we still are.“

“I went there because I saw my niece with food from there, and it looked, and smelled very good. She and my sister said Top's China has the best Chinese food, and chicken wings! I don't eat Chinese food often, but, I decided whenever I do choose to eat some, I'll definitely get it there! The place was clean, staff were nice, friendly, and polite, and the food was good!

Parking: There's plenty of parking space, and, customers were constantly filling them. When one vehicle left, another was ready to park there.“

“Everything was hot, fresh, and tasted great! I never leave reviews but the customer before me made me feel it was necessary. A customer came up before me asking for a refund saying her food was cold and didn’t have great flavor. The manager asked to see the food and the customer said she had already finished all of it… I’m sorry but people can really suck haha glad to see she was not given a refund. ?“
