“This is the best tasting Peruvian chicken we have found. The wait staff are very sweet and have become like family since we frequent the restaurant. It’s also very fast service and an economical way to feed the whole family ! We highly recommend them.“

“Absolutely WOWed by our experience at Chicken Rico in Leesburg Plaza. The chicken was so good and reasonably priced that it’s worth the trip to get a couple of whole chickens to take home to the family on your way home from work. You gotta get a couple of LARGE containers of macaroni and cheese too. You know that crunchy part on top of the mac and cheese casserole that everybody fights over at the dinner table? I’ve never had mac and cheese this good, and that crusty cheesy crunchy part… well, you’ll be craving it. And it’s also an authentically-prepared South American recipe that even us gringos will just eat up. The sauce that comes in little cups that you can pay extra for? I’m a wimp now with spicy food, so I asked the young man behind the counter to give me a few extra cups of the creamy sauce that’s not spicy. I’m sorry I’m not familiar enough with Peruvian cuisine to know what it’s called. But oh my gosh… you can’t have enough of it. I got plantains and not only did I dip my chicken in that sauce, I dipped my plantains in it too! I hope I’m not breaking too many intercontinental cuisine rules here, but Chicken Rico’s food is some of the BEST I’ve had anywhere, let alone locally in Loudoun County. We paid less than $29 for a whole chicken, large side of mac and cheese, large side of plantains, and four little cups of non-spicy creamy sauce. And I returned to the counter and left a hefty cash tip in the tip jar because the guys behind the counter couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful (and I’m just going to say it: very easy on the eyes which sure don’t hurt). Another thing that really impressed me was how clean the restaurant was on a Saturday night. And as we left just before closing, the cleaning staff was ROLLING UP THE RUGS to mop every inch of the place. Then they vacuumed the rugs! I feel like I’m a good cook, but I can’t make food this good. Can’t wait to go back.“
