“I'm a server at the restaurant and have to say that it's a great place to work, and eat. I usually eat there on my days off because the food is ALWAYS delicious! Our cook, Shirley is the bomb! The food she cooks rival the best southern home cooking around. We pride ourselves on our food and service and always enjoy seeing new, and old, faces! Come on down and see us and let us feed you some tasty food and see what's it's like to get good service along with a delicious, reasonably priced meal. And yes, breakfast is ALWAYS available.”

“My husband works retail in Short Pump and went he gets a lunch we like to come to this Tace Bell in Goochland because the service is fast and the food is always made well. The older gentleman is always so helpful, making sure get your cup for your beverage before your meal is ready. We stopped going to the Taco Bell in Short Pump near the Walmart because the staff in there only make your order on their time and the food is sloppy. Nowadays eating out is a luxury.”

“I drive to cville from Hampton for medical care every month. My treat on the way home is McDonald’s. EVERY TIME I stop at this McDonalds it is FAST, the service is wonderful, the fries are always HOT AND FRESH, and the sandwich is always perfect. This mcd is a treasure. I don’t stop anywhere else. We also ordered the palak chaat and enjoyed it very much. The restaurant shines not only in food but also in service. “I just visited this cafe today and I had a great time! I haven't played many board games since childhood Monopoly battles to the death, but today I learned to play two I had never heard of. The staff were friendly, personable, and knowledgeable, able to suggest games and show us how to play. You can order from a modest selection of food and drinks (including alcohol), but it's really about the games. What a brilliant idea!”

“On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.”

“We had dinner at Chef's Kitchen tonight, Feb. 21st. Our waiter Ben was amazing, as was the food. We started with the Burrata and Dumplings, both of which were mouth watering and glorious. My greatest fear is that those dumplings will haunt my dreams forever. I could probably eat them daily. I am telling you it was a religious experience. If not a religious experience then possibly a spiritual experience. I believe if Anthony Bourdain ate here he would have something pithy and wonderful to say. Something cultured and refined. For an entree we both had the braised duck gnocchi which was pillowy, creamy, and delicious. We paired the meal with a Cab Franc from barboursville which was decently priced and absolutely sublime. Give this place an opportunity. Eat here. My wife and I both agree that it is the best meal we have shared together in many years. Oh and ask for Ben and tip him well. He's the man.”
