“Went to Hooked for the first time for my birthday. My husband and I went in a literal hour before they closed and we didn't feel rushed. Destiny was our waitress and so sweet and attentive. The drinks were strong, the food was awesome and fairly priced and I didn't feel rushed as I sat there and ate my 360 tower. We will definitely be back!“

“We came on a Saturday night for dinner. It was a bit unclear if you were to seat yourself or not, and the service was a bit slow due to how busy the bar was since a live band was starting soon. However, our experience overall was excellent.The biscuit is probably the best biscuit I've had at a restaurant, ever. Absolutely recommend. We tried three flavors of wings and all thought the gochujang was the most outstanding. The pinto beans, pickles, slaw, and chicken quesadilla were all flavorful and solid. We loved everything we tried.“

All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. “Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“It's a dive bar where most people know each other's names. That's what makes it a staple in the community over there. One pool table so if you want some competition, go at night. Not really known for their food, it's a dive bar 🤷🏾. Nice people but if you're sensitive, just don't go lol“

“We had a small wedding reception at OCB and while I would recommend it as a venue, I’d also recommend writing down exact details of what you want the event to go like. I don’t know if we ended up with inexperienced staff or just an odd night, but nothing really went like it should have. We were told two bartenders but there was only one, they didn’t seem to know when to bring out the food even though we said it was an open buffet, we asked them to serve slices of a cake from the back and instead they just placed it on a tray in the front and our guests had to slice and serve themselves. Every time we met with Bill he reassured us they’d done so many events and wedding there that they had it down pat, but it definitely didn’t seem like they did. On the whole, I’m still glad we had our reception there. The venue is awesome and the food is amazing! I’ve always heard great things about people using them as catering at other venues.“

“Been a regular of Bryant’s for about a year. Every experience I have had has been chill and I felt very comfortable with the bartenders and vibe very quickly. They specialize in brut dry cider with a great selection of different flavors. They have options for people who prefer a sweeter cider. There is ways to spruce it up. Yummy cider daiquiris in the summer. I loved Bryant’s so much since my move to Richmond I just recently was hired on as a bartender. This place made me wanna stay. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves cider and a good atmosphere with a cool aesthetic 🖤“

“Cirrus is simply the best! Went to have a couple cocktails with my wife. Bar snack mix was delicious, the Paloma, and the pickled briney boy were the best drinks I’ve had in Richmond! Tom Ellington and staff are outstanding. I enjoyed getting to know Andy and Winnie. Both super friendly and engaging with the customers. Could not ask for a better spot to have a cocktail!“

“Don’t be fooled into thinking Scotty’s is only a place to grab a drink and classic bar food. The food I have ordered off their menu has been excellent - namely the Brisket Grilled Cheese, and the Steak Sammy. They were excellent and much more impressive than a classic bar burger and fries. Their food menu and food specials are also excellent deals for someone who wants good food for a bargain.“

“We hosted a rehearsal dinner at OCB in November 2016. The OCB staff was very helpful as I was planning from long distance. They have a flexible, and diverse menu and they were very patient with me as we tried to find a good combination of offerings for our group. Try the mac n cheese....Divine! Food was all delicious. “This restaurant keeps getting better and better. The scallop crudo was inventive and delicious. I asked the server if the yuzu could be left out (medication issue) and was pleasantly surprised that the chef could substitute lime. The mussels in coconut broth were delicious and I appreciated that the bread that came with it was grilled on a wood fire lending it a smoky flavor. Service was attentive and accommodating. Noise level was fine for conversation.“
