“Ate lunch with my husband and 3 year old son on 11/4/23 at 11am, and sat at the table by the patio door (so we had a view of outside such as the patio.)Just one man was out there with a panera cup smoking a cigarette (I didn't know the man was smoking until the manager came out to say something).I heard her politely tell the man he couldn't smoke on the patio so the man walks to the first parking spot to smoke his cigarette, but the manger informs him that's still Panera property with a no smoking policy and that he needs to smoke in the parking lot. This is when the man turns into a Kevin. The manager came in, and behind the man had thrown out his full cigarette to report this incident. I'm assuming he didn't like being told no.The reason I bring this up is because I appreciate the fact that they upheld their policy. Not only am I pregnant and have my 3 yr old son with me, but I wasn't the only family with kids and I wasnt the only woman who was also pregnant (we both left through the patio door.)Prior to pregnancy and kids, I smoked cigarettes so I know how the man feels, but it's not about him. I appreciate the company willing to deal with conflict to protect and uphold their policy. I hope the manager doesn't come under any disciplinary action.Kid-friendliness: Upheld policy to not allow smoking on their property, including the patio, and provided high chairs.“
“My family and I ate here while traveling home from vacation in 4/2024. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Our server was very good and polite. Our food came out quickly and was correct and prepared well. This particular visit was one we were looking to eat and run to get back on the road. The waiter understood and obliged. We would definitely eat here again if the situation presented itself.Kid-friendliness: Waiter joked with our 10 year old son“
“This was our first time here - the crab dip was tasty but it was not jumbo lump as stated in on the menu and it had too much cheese which was globs of cheese and was very runny. We also had the fish and chips (subbed with onion rings), coleslaw and the Our Danny boy with beets. The fish and onion rings were over cooked and lacked seasoning, they had no tastey at all. I had to add quite a bit of salt and lemon to get the flavor out. The coleslaw and Our Danny boy were amazing and we’d go back for that. Loved the location, the service and atmosphere otherwise. Fish and onion rings were a 2.5 and the our Danny boy and coleslaw a 5.“
“Robert has never poured me a glass that I haven't enjoyed. I absolutely love Leek & Thistle. The sommelier, Robert, is so incredibly knowledgeable about wines and they carry a wonderful variety. If there is a special story behind the wine or region, he probably knows it. This is one of my favorite places to come on Friday afternoon after a long stressful week. The bar is so inviting, and it's also a great place for a private event. His wife is also a wonderful cook, and I rarely leave without taking home some soup or chicken salad for later, not to mention a bottle of wine. If you are a wine lover and looking for a nice, relaxing place to go where the service is personalized and the owners are super friendly, this is the place to go.“
“I was very happy with my experience here! I ordered the chicken pho with dark meat & it was delicious, although i did feel the chicken portions could've been a bit better. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was solid. Definitely keeping this place in mind whenever my pho cravings kick in!“
“Picked up dinner from here for some company we had over from Rhode Island. So easy to order online, ready at the estimated time, and all the food was so delicious!! We got the spring rolls, noodles of the drunk w/ chicken, pad see ew w/ tofu, chicken pho, and chicken pad Thai. All dishes were excellent! ?? Our guests from RI loved it!! Would totally recommend if you’re craving Thai food!“
“I’ve eaten here on and off over the past decade. Now that I moved to RVA permanently, it’s typically my go-to since I like to shop at Tan A for convenience. I feel like the food has declined some over the years and has less punch to the spices and sauces. The portions have gotten smaller but that’s pretty expected nowadays. I do see that there are less Asian people eating there so maybe that’s why the taste has changed… lol. Not a lot of other decent competition though, so I can’t complain too much since there’s no Eden center here.“
“First time I went here was in the evening with a couple friends. I honestly wasn’t impressed. The service was a pretty slow and felt unengaged. However, I gave it another try during lunch and had a great time. Norine is a ray of sunshine made human. Was a great lunch, good service and the food was tasty.Definitely worth a visit for a neighborhood friendly local bar.“
“We just took a walk in the neighborhood and stopped in Ms. Bees. Such a cool vibe! Greeted with kindness and walked away with two delicious smoothies! We highly recommend and we’ll absolutely be back, excited to try some of the vegan options too!“
“The food is absoLUTELY amazing! The expected stuff, yeah, but the mac and cheese is legit! Don't sleep on this place, people. First-timer and I ordered the combo plate (counting on love love at first bite) with pepper steak, jerk chicken, yellow rice, fried cabbage, and the most impressing piece, mac and cheese. You know how commercial mac and cheese tastes just that- bland, boxed, no love in its creation, mass produced and...commercial? Not this, Honies. BayBAY! This truly tastes homemade and made with love. Can't wait to make my next order...which will definitely include the mac and cheese ?Thank you, Sunriver Caribbean Cuisine for giving my palate a wonderful to RVA!!“
“Marigold Thai is one of my favorite places in all of Mechanicsville. Whether I’m ready to celebrate with friends, or quietly recovering after a hard week—Marigold always makes me feel better. The food is delicious and portion sizes are large. There’s always quiet music going and a calming movie. I recommend it to everyone, especially people with social anxiety. This is a super low-key and delicious dining experience. Try the Massaman Curry or the Noodle Soup with Chicken if you’re not sure where to start, both are mild and delightful.“
