“Probably the best brisket in the city. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Pairs up perfectly with any of the homemade BBQ sauces. Unforbidden Fruit BBQ sauce sweetened with apples is unique and is definitely a prize winning sauce.Burnt Ends were also very good. No sauce needed on those.More of a take out atmosphere, but there is some seating inside and a few tables outside. Worth staying on site to eat your food fresh and hot off the chopping block. Highly recommended when you need to get your BBQ fix.“
“We order from toast often and have always had a good experience. My husband ordered take out over the phone and the toast employee taking the order was combative, rude and ultimately refused to allow us to pay over the phone. The manager, Hunter, got on the phone and processed the order. I went to pick up the order. Hunter brought the food to me and apologized several times. I appreciated how apologetic he was and how much he cared about fixing the situation . We got home and the chicken in our meal was raw. I called the restaurant and spoke to Hunter. He offered to deliver the meal to our house. Another manager dropped off the food to us and also apologized profusely. The management team at this location truly rectified this situation. I understand that things happen but I’m impressed with how quickly the management team made it right. Thank you, Hunter! Toast is lucky to have you!“
“Feel compelled to write a review as we’re leaving after a quick, huge Friday night meal. Our family loves this place, and my 8 and 10 yo boys are always begging to go to eat their weight in ribs. Such kind, quick service, and huge portions. We’ll be back soon!!“
“First time visiting Big Whiskey. So I didn't get the servers' or owners' names. But we sat at the bar, and our server was knowledgeable about their drink offerings . The food was excellent, and you could smell and taste the smokey flavor in the meats, which is rare these days. I will definitely return.“
“My husband and I had the brunch buffet yesterday and it was great. Everything was delicious with a great selection. Something for everyone. Looking forward to checking out the seafood buffet. Oh and the waitress was excellent!! The icing on the cake!“
“Very cute place. Lots of parking and easy to find. Decor is nice. Nice comfortable seating. Country music playing. Very far right news on the TV with the volume on mute and no captions thankfully. I ordered the sausage and gravy biscuits with potatoes and scrambled eggs plus a sweet tea. Tea was sweet. Biscuits were big and fluffy and the gravy was good. The potatoes were under seasoned but cooked well. The eggs were under cooked in parts. I would eat here again. The food tastes homemade.“
“To go order: ordered 2 2pc fish dinners. Food good as always. ONLY issue, I was charged gratuity on a pickup order. This has NEVER happened before. Granted, this guy was new, not okay to charge me gratuity. Its not like he offered to bring it out to my vehicle. Not happy...“
“Extremely confused by any negative reviews of this lovely establishment. I truly think Southbound is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Richmond, and that’s saying a lot! My friend and I dined there tonight and have only rave reviews. The atmosphere is 10/10: classy, cozy, and casual-chic. We tried the pork nachos (incredibly flavorful and original), Caesar salad, burger (possibly the BEST I’ve had in Richmond, which is also saying a lot), crabcakes, and tiramisu. Everything was so.freaking.good. Our server was friendly and service was prompt and accurate. We have friends who extol the virtues of their cocktails, but didn’t try one tonight. Wine selection is solid. No complaints and we’ll absolutely be back soon!“
“My family has enjoyed this Cracker Barrel for years. The restaurant and the food has improved dramatically over the past two years. Only wish they wouldn’t be so stingy with biscuits, but I understand and don’t want to be wasteful. The breakfast portions are always generous and I’ve never left hungry. The wait staff is usually good, but sometimes can be overwhelmed. Patience is always good to have when visiting a Cracker Barrel, it’s about enjoying a meal with friends or family.Kid-friendliness: My grandchild love visiting Cracker Barrel because Nana usually gets them a little something and they love the biscuits!“
