“The tea was delicious, the scones were tasty, especially when topped with clotted cream and jam, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding brought tears to our eyes with how good it was. It felt like we'd been transported back to England for a wonderful moment. Everyone should come here.“

“New to the area, on the quest for the best coffee shop! Fun vibe in here with LOTS of seating (and very comfortable seating which can be rare), and I enjoyed an excellent drip coffee, Light roast Nicaraguan, that I was very impressed with. The downside was that on a Saturday morning it was slammed and took about 30 minutes for a drip coffee, and don’t think I ever heard a “hi” from the baristas as it was a bit disorganized. Long line and self service with a tablet to order. I would go back again for the coffee and for a longer sit down, but based on this experience and service, it may be a while. All this to say, thanks for the excellent cup of coffee ?“

“The cinnamon sugar, and the naked donut are my favorite! Sad that I discovered this place as I’m ready to move away from the area.“

“A lovely welcoming spot, easy to feel right at home as soon as I went in. Friendly and attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere. TVs with sportsball games on to watch if you like, and great Autumn style decor when we were here. Heard about the V&T Ruben and was not disappointed, it was delicious. I would have loved dill pickle spears instead of burger-style pickles but they were still tasty and rounded out the ruben experience with the ridged chips. Delicious cakes in the case, tried the lemon bundt cake and loved it. Wish I were local as this would be a regular go-to.“

“I love that they have gluten free cinnamon rolls!! They also have a dairy free frosting option, which is great for those of us with dietary restrictions. If you’re traveling anywhere near Lynchburg, you need to check this place out!“

“A friend has been recommending Woodruff’s for some time now. I live in Roanoke so it is a bit of a trek to get there. This weekend, I found myself post breakup and needed a distraction so what better thing to do than toss the wee ones in the car with your bestie and drive for pie? When I tell you this place is what any doctor would recommend to mend the spirit, I say that with that I have. As the kids would put it, no cap. The minute you walk in, it feels like you are in grandma’s kitchen. There is such kind, loving energy. Darnell, Angela, and Melissa were there during our visit and they took time to engage with each customer yet made me feel like I was the whole reason they showed up to work. And the pie?? 🤤 I may have had pie for breakfast the last two days. We tried the apple, chocolate peanut butter, sweet potato, buttermilk, lemon chess, and Keylime pie topped with the FRESH hand pies. (I had to wrestle my oldest for one bite of the peach and they were kind enough to share the cherry.) For me: Woodruff’s is two thumbs up all around.“
