“Our group of four had a very late lunch/very early dinner Saturday but despite the hour of 4:00 the tables stayed pretty full throughout our visit. I chose to create my own sandwich and was probably the happiest one in our group- roast beef, Swiss, provolone and mushrooms with a horseradish dip. Sublime! I hope they never stop letting you create your own. The other four chose from the menu and were satisfied but agreed that it looked like I got more meat on mine than they did. Maybe it just looked thicker because of the mushrooms? All of them had crispy outer bread and were served nice and hot. My husband had the limeade and said it was great. The owner checked on us several times and really cares about her business!“

“We came here on a Tuesday afternoon and had a nice lunch. The prices are pretty reasonable, but the plates are small (which is fine for lunch). It's a little cramped and loud, good college town atmosphere. Food was good. The specialty is the Sticky Nuggs. We got some to go.“
“My husband and I have been (and will continue to be) regular diners at the Harrisonburg restaurant. The quality of the food and customer service is great, especially Noah at the bar-he remembers that I like my water without ice and with lemon, and that my husband often gets a stout beer.I would have given 5 stars for the food but tonight we came in to find that our favorite meal was off the menu- we actually used to come here just for the salmon-sometimes on a salad, other times we order the main dish.We are so disappointed! Please bring it back? ( But we’ll be back either way! )“

Got the spinach and feta puffs and smoked brisket crepes and of course a glass of iced Fae Tea. Their menu changes every week so follow them to keep up to date on what’s gonna be on the menu!“

“My mom and I went here for brunch and absolutely loved it! The crab cake benedict was delicious and we were surprised at how much crab came on it! It is super filling. The fried chicken sandwhich was also delicious - it has pimento cheese on it (so yummy). Their homemade chips are also always super good. Overall, the service and atmosphere was great AND for the two of us the bill was not bad. They also have $10 mimosa carafes which is a steal.“

“Was looking for a reasonable -- i.e., justifiable within my means for 2 people -- way to put Honeybaked Ham on my holiday table. Although unadvertised online (that I could find), the company sells 1 lb packs of their sliced meats -- ham, roast turkey, smoked turkey. I bought a pack of ham...and a pack of roast turkey. The packs aren't particularly cheap ($15/lb), but they are oh-so yummy. This was the perfect solution for my holiday table. The friend I was with decided to buy a pack of each, too. She was a first-time customer, and was won over, too.If I recall, the number of tables in the shop is small, maybe 4-8. One was occupied. The place isn't where I'd choose to have a ham or turkey meal of that quality. Though clean and bright, it has a bare-bones, overlit, industrial feel to it. Maybe I would have felt differently if more tables had been occupied. In any case, the does business not appear to be focused on dine-in service. Rather, it seems to prioritize catering and take-out of higher-priced full-meal combinations for groups ranging from as few as 8 people up to convention-sized crowds.So, for my small table for 2 over the holidays, the 1lb packs were the perfect solution, providing even for leftovers! I would definitely do again. Worth the splurge!Parking: Lot shared with other shops in a small shopping center.“

“The restaurant is extremely noisy--it's hard to carry on a conversation. It's also crowded. Even with a reservation, our party had to wait nearly 30 minutes. The service was good. So was the food. The cactus blossom onion was very good. They brought the best baby back ribs I've ever had in a restaurant. That's a low bar, but they were only a little dry and they weren't smothered in sauce, which is a welcome change. (No choice on the sauce--it's that horrible sweet one that is ubiquitous in restaurants-- and inedible for diabetics.) My friends all enjoyed their food. Portions were generous and to-go boxes were needed.“

You always get great service sitting there as well and chatting with the owners who do the cooking. Glad to see this historical restaurant was purchased and kept going by the new owners.
