“Just finished a great lunch here. We settled in outside, Calvin took our order and shortly brought it to the table. A warm summer drizzle added to the ambiance under the wide table umbrella. After the second bite, the torrent hit and Calvin appeared to hustle us and our meals indoors to dryer accomodations. Thank you, Calvin for great service!!! And the chef is appreciated too as the food was first rate.”

“We just had an excellent dinning experience for our family Christmas dinner. Staunton was a greet meeting spot for our family to all gather. It was all perfectly done. Even though we had some guests show up late the staff was super accommodating and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the best short rib dish I have ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a very delightful cream sauce. The mushroom ravioli was also excellent. All portions were generous but also balanced. The service was great all the staff was so pleasant and everyone seems to enjoy what they were doing. The wine was excellent and the bar made excellent classic cocktails including a manhattan. Everyone should try Queen City bistro! I can’t wait to come back!”

“10 out of 10 the best pastries!!! Came across this business on FB a few days before a field trip to Staunton, VA for my daughter. Field trip day was Thursday and Giancarlo is only open for retail hours on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I was so bummed, but I sent a message to see if they would let me make a special order for Thursday pick up, and they did!!! We ordered three tarts. A chocolate raspberry, a chocolate espresso and a lemon. AMAZING!!! Giancarlo uses the most delicious chocolate I have ever tasted! And the lemon was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. This bakery is a MUST visit!”

“I hadn't had much Salvadoran cuisine before and this was an amazing intro! Everything was very well-prepared and clearly homemade. The pupusas were really flavorful and the horchata was authentic. The waiter was also super polite and friendly and the prices were quite reasonable. Wish it was closer to where I live because I'd go back!”

“My husband and I were in town for the Virginia Scenic Railway and stopped at Kathy’s before our trip. The food was delicious, and the bread pudding was absolutely incredible. What truly made our visit unforgettable was Debbie, our waitress. She was so genuinely kind and warm that she literally brought me to tears. She shared that she works part-time for her customers and said that had she already been retired, she would never have met my husband and me. That really touched my heart. “Be warned! Once you've had a wood fired pizza, you'll never want a traditional oven baked one.They made a great specialty pizza for me, with the pineapple, basil and promiscuitto. It was done just right and went well a beer. I wish I lived closer so I could have it on a regular basis. Beautiful restaurant, with outdoor seating available, as well as plenty inside. “Thoroughly enjoyed the Alpine Goat Brewery's inaugural Oktobest event held on 14 September. The wide variety of flavorful brews, authentic German Oompah music, welcoming staff, ample and free parking, and gregarious patrons combined for a delightful experience. The venue is absolutely family friendly offering games and activities for children. The food trucks offered a variety of items including ice cream and shakes. I definitely will return!”

Grilled Chicken salad, Chef Salad, penne pasta with meatballs and the pizza was just because we had to try it! 😆 It was DELICIOUS!!! The salad was extra fresh!! staff were very nice!! “I ordered a birthday cake and some gluten-free cupcakes from Magdalena’s. Alba was so helpful in suggesting options for the cake, especially since I wanted a photo added to the top. The icing was amazing, the cake tasty and moist, and the mousse filling divine. Everyone at the party complimented me on how good it was. My GF intolerant guests loved the cupcakes. Highly recommend.”
