“We visited Saturday and as soon as we entered the tasting room we received a warm welcome. My husband ordered a glass of merlot and I got a glass of Meritage which was excellent. We sat out on the deck by the pond and enjoyed the beautiful vineyard and mountains in the background. We only went to a few wineries in the area but this was our favorite and had the best wine.“
“Great wine and outdoor seating! They’re very dog friendly, but I wished they enforced the on leash rule a bit more. We had our dogs on leash and two dogs off leash ran off to greet us. One of our dogs doesn’t react well when off leash pups run up to them. And we had to physically pull the new pup off ours, and the dog owners weren’t even near by. I think they were the owners dogs or the owner knew them well. They were very sweet, but I wish the rules were either enforced for everyone or there was an off leash area.
But again, the wine was good, the staff was very friendly, and the environment was nice to sit outside. Recommend!“

“Fabulous place to spend an hour or a whole afternoon. The tasting room is cozy and the grounds are breath taking. And the wine...whether white or red,you will find a favorite. One of our favorites is the Screaming Hawk Meritage. highly recommend!!“
“Gorgeous vineyards. This is the place to hang for amazing views. Large areas to sit and relax. Big fields and great pictures here. This is a bit of a bigger production. Outdoor pavilion (enclosed), lots of seating. I assume it gets much more crowded than when I was here. Beautiful!“

“We met George and Traylin at the Flying Fox today on our trip to Wintergreen from VirginiaBeach. They are so much fum and very dedicated to the customer. What a beautiful tasting room and the surrounding interior was so welcoming. It's a must go to when you are looking for an abundance of great wines and great owners.“
