“Port Arthurs is my favorite Chinese Restaurant. I love the fact that they are locally owned and have been here for as long as I can remember . They are a staple in Newport News and never disappoint. “The food is delicious and VERY reasonably priced. The service was prompt and polite, the atmosphere was cozy and the neighborhood area was clean and very pretty.
We had the Fried Tofu, Beef Jerky, Thai Tara Salad, and Chicken Basil Fried Rice. We'd definitely recommend this place and will be back for sure. This is probably the best priced meal we've had in years, with plenty to eat and absolutely delicious.“

“I ordered the kimbap and naengmyeon, the portions were huge! The meal also came with a side soup and banchan which I wasn't expecting. The buckwheat noodles were chilled and spicy, super chewy and very filling, highly recommend if you are looking for a dish thats outside the norm“

“As a server since 2021 (4yrs) I will be returning. The cusine, service, presentation, atmosphere was incredible & phenomenal. My server was, Corey. Very attentive, personable, knowledgeable, meticulous. I drove to Newport News from Charlottesville Va. approximately over 2hrs, for a late birthday dinner ( he acknowledged the special occasion and even brought me a free dessert on the house ) The food for my table was coursed beautifully, silverware was removed and preset for all of my next course, I never had to ask for refills, empty glassware was removed from the table, before receiving my next cocktail. The only complaint I had was the blue claw salad (very odd to me) Perception is half of reality, and judging by service, I will be returning, and recommending this to all of my friends. Thanks Cory!!!!! I'll specifically request you when I return“

“The best customer service I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the sesame chicken combo and the general tso chef special. The rice tasted as if it had been cooked a couple of hours before I arrived but it was still edible. The saving grace for the food was the meat. The meat for both the combos were tasteful and pleasing to my buds. Enough for me to say, I will be trying this place again and hopefully the rice will be different this time.“

“I never shy away from a place because of its location. I found that the hole in the wall places are among the absolute best. Nawab Indian Cuisine is a definite hit.
I highly recommend eating in so you may have an opportunity to experience the service but also cap your meal with the milk chai cardomon. Tea.
First, the staff is very attentive and friendly without feeling overbearing. They watch very closely from a distance.
My meal lamb Rogan was among some of the best I’ve had in the states.
With a Punjabi hand in the kitchen, don’t be afraid to take your Spice level up a level or two. Especially if you’re going with the goat. The full richness of flavor you’ll receive might be worth it.
The basmati used is excellently prepared I’m excited to try a biryani the next time I’m in town.
The rice and the bread were as good or better than fancier restaurants in fancier areas of town.
With that said, don’t let the area or the locals throw you off the parking lot has adequate security for the mall and once inside, you’ll find a clean modern inviting experience that is good for business dinners, family, or even a romantic experience. With the attention from the staff, whatever your goal you’ll achieve it.“

“If you haven't tried La Pena Horeb yet... YOU ARE SLEEPING!!! Wake up and smell the delicious aroma that radiates from this kitchen!
The menu has different sections for different styles of food. I myself have tried about all the slow cooked meats, and the pernil is my favorite. I have eaten countless cubano sandwiches with fries and a side order of FRIED CHEESE, and I gotta say, it's probably my favorite dish in all of the 757. Try the special drinks too, like the horchata.
There is no debate that this is a wonderful little spot that deserves to stick around for as long as they want. Great for a date night or grab and go. 10/10 couldn't recommend enough!“

“I ordered a family meal. The general tso chicken was very good, enjoyed the heat and it wasn’t overly salty. I liked that there was a choice of rice! The hibachi was delicious, vegetables fresh, crisp and the meat tender. The chicken soba noodles were excellent with a nice ratio of meat and noodles but a little salty. The last item in the family meal was egg rolls. They were crispy but not a fan of the mushy inside. That won’t stop me from ordering their food again. I’m a fan!“

“James's knowledge was encyclopedic. It was like having the chef and sommelier at the table.
The food was excellent all around. We had:
- shrimp risotto with olives and calabrian peppers
- bao buns
- fois gras
- halibut croquettes
- cheesecake
The food was a+. No notes. No complaints. Will return when back in the area.“
