“Omg the food is delicious! Wouldn’t have ever tried it. Do too it being a not so great neighborhood! I order chicken wings and shrimp fried rice! So fresh and delicious. I will eat here when I want Chinese!“

“The food was good but I ordered from the lunch menu and they have more rice than food. The beef and broccoli lunch special was 3/4 rice and 1/4 broccoli with some beef. It tasted delicious but very disappointing since the ratio of rice and entree were disproportionate. Not sure if I'll get their food again. I don't want to pay $8 for basically rice. That c is why I give it 3 stars“

“First off, the food was delicious. I ordered the chicken wings with shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg roll, and. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly, even the fried rice was flavorful and not greasy at all. The service was fast and friendly. The staff greeted me with a smile and had my order ready in under 10 minutes. Everything was packed neatly and still hot when I got home.
Portions are generous for the price—definitely great value. I also appreciated how clean and organized the restaurant was, even during the lunch rush. If you’re looking for quick, tasty Chinese food that doesn’t taste like it came from a microwave, Chen’s Garden is a solid choice. I’ll definitely be back!“

“I've been ordering for a few years now. I ordered my husband the vegetable pancit today and was not disappointed. I've ordered general tsoas chicken, sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, the fried Chinese chicken wings, egg/shrimp/spring rolls, crab rangoon, and all versions of rice. It is the BEST in Norfolk easy. There must be an actual chef back there the food is incomparable. They definitely should have 5 stars but... hey if you guys are reading... get rid of all that junk in the lobby, and work on better customer service! It's not terrible but you'd probably have 5 stars by now...the food is beyond 5 stars!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾“

“didnt realize this was in the plaza so tried it out. ordering online was easy. i got a text when it was done. went in, told her my order, went out. fortune cookies arent included, i think it’s a very small charge. i think these were rib tips and pork lo mein. superrr tasty. containers are microwaveable if you want to save as leftovers too! i recommend!“

“We ordered General Tao Chicken and Sesame Chicken. The food was cooked and delivered within 20-30 minutes at the most. It was hot and very good. The driver was very nice. I recommend trying Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant for good American Chinese Food.“

“This place takes me to my childhood back in the day when I lived in Lambert's Point and there was this place called the Rice Bowl on the corner of 39th and Boydens Ferry rd. accross the street from the corner market. This is where I fell in love with fried rice, small smoke, chop suey and of course yak, Norfolk style. So if you're feeling a little nostalgic for old style neighborhood Chinese takeout you should go there.“

“Food here was pretty typical of any Chinese takeout spot. I got the curry chicken. I thought it was pretty decent a little bit on the salty side, but the chicken was very tender and I love the vegetables mixed in. It helped bring a little more brightness of a dish and made it more balanced compared to having just meat. Can’t expect too much on flavor or quality though especially on a Chinese takeout spot.

The service was quick. I think it took about 5 to 10 minutes for me to get my dish. The waiter upfront was a little bit grumpy, but again since it’s a takeout spot I don’t expect stellar customer service. It was fast so that’s really all that mattered.

I want to say go out of your way to to eat here, but if you are running late for something and just need a spot to eat a quick bite I’m sure this place could be OK.“

“We just moved to town and decided to try Yummy Wok for dinner. Being born and raised in NJ, I grew up around some of the best local Chinese food — so I can be a little picky when trying new places! Luckily, I don’t have to look any further. This is our new go-to spot. The hot and sour soup was perfect, and the vegetable lo mein was fresh and flavorful. My husband loved his wonton soup and Hunan beef. Overall, great experience — we’ll definitely be back!“

“Exactly what we were expecting from general tso, fried rice, egg rolls and dumplings. Online order was easy and the food was ready quickly. Quality condiment station. My only critique would be that the fortune cookies contained more of advice than fortunes...“

“I’m going to go ahead and leave my review in view of some negative ones. Me and my co-workers have been eating the lunch special for the last 3 years twice a week. We all really like it no complaints plus super cheap. Plus you get a free can of soda. About $22 for us 3. You really can’t complain at that bargain. Food is fresh and super hot when picked up. “I called in for delivery and got my food very quickly. The price is decent for the amount of food you get. I ordered the Hunan beef, steak on a stick, fried rice, and sugar biscuts. The hunan beef is suuper good and has a great amout of heat to it. The steak on a stick is very flavorful as is the fried rice. And the biscuts are soft and sweet. Would highly recommend, especially for people who live on base because they do deliver on base.“

“No photos typical Chinese spot some remodeling is being done so no eat in at the moment. I ordered beef and broccoli 9/10 it was delicious shrimp fried rice 10/10 no complaints even generous with the amount of shrimp for a small order also got chicken wings 6/10 flavor was good but weren’t crispy enough and I requested fried hard wings finished it off with a bottle mt dew which was like 2.75. I will order again the food is pretty good would recommend“

“This is the BEST Chinese food in Norfolk! I have tried ALL the other Chinese restaurants in the area and they all pale in comparison. Fried dumplings, house special Lo Mein, and house special fried rice are gold standard dishes cooked to perfection. The only bummer is they are CLOSED on Mondays.“

“We have had terrible luck (with take out food ordering) ever since moving here. But this place...it is always excellent. We always get delivery, and yet it's just as hot as if I were there.
