“Had to make a stop downtown for business and grabbed an early dinner right before Christmas. It was our first time trying this spot. It was so wonderful, the food, the server, atmosphere and the creative creation when I asked for one of their signature cocktails to be hot vs iced. Happy new year and here’s to wonderful food and company!“
“We had a great evening at Penny's Wine Shop - we enjoyed the full flight of featured wines by the glass and paired them with several of the shared plate selections. Oyster mushrooms conserva and potato dauphinoise were our top favorites with the Bolet Cava and Patience Blanc white blend, but everything we tasted was delicious – oh that Basque cheesecake! This is definitely on the list to return to as their menu and wines change on a regular basis so always something new to try! We posted more love & pics @richpairings“
“Attended the Wade Cellars wine tasting hosted here by Chef Mike Lindsey and it was phenomenal. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but very well put together, inviting, and has charm.I haven't tried menu items from Jubilee yet, but after this experience, we will definitely be back!“
“Great visit! I came for happy hour with some colleagues. The happy hour menu has some great deals. We got fries for eh while table. I ordered beef & chicken empanadas and the karaoke kool aid. Good drinks & great service. Got busy towards end for jazz night and our server for a little overwhelmed, but was still sweet and friendly! As for the vibe, I love all the photos around the place. There's a little stage on the side, not just for jazz night but apparently they hold events almost every night. Once it started getting dark out, it seemed more like an intimate jazz club with low, blue lights and table side lights & candles. Will definitely have to come back and try other items on the menu, it all sounded so good.“
“One of the best restaurants in Richmond, my personal favorite. Celladora is small, approachable, inviting and absolutely delicious. Megan and her team make you feel like you’re at a friend’s house that just so happens to have the best wine selection and a small, thoughtful menu. I love this place “
“This was my first visit to Southern Kitchen. I had every intention of ordering an entreé, but there was so much deliciousness in the egg roll and so many catfish bites, I didn't have room for anything else. I did have a drink, and the bartender meant she wanted us to enjoy ourselves! I will definitely visit again, and I hope it's sooner than later!“
“Cute new wine shop in the area! Helpful staff, tasty wines, at an affordable price point. Loved the open concept layout, plenty of seating for a larger group, and their event calendar looked like it had some fun things coming up. Will def return!“
“The service is top notch at FP. I got to taste three different types of iced black teas because the staff want to make sure I pick my favorite. I also got an apple turnover that tasted quite good. Despite the store being a little pricey, it has charging outlets available on the wall. So many people brought their laptops to chill and work here. It also has a free public restroom that's comfortable and very clean. Highly recommend working here, I'd definitely come back here if I'm around the area.I hope the staff can be more proactive to shut the doors because it was really windy that day, and it became chilly indoors.“
“My date and I decided on the newest ML Steak location in the Chesterfield Town Center on a rainy, romantic Wednesday evening. These guys absolutely hit it out of the park. We sat at the bar where we were promptly served by our bartender Tom. We could not have been given better service: Tom explained the menu with both detail and passion to the point we were nearly hypnotized at the end. It’s the kind of professional level service that you rarely see anymore but we experienced it here. Tom would even transfer Felicia’s beer into a frosty pint glass if it were sitting too long. These little details truly make the difference. I ordered the Beast Burger and I may have had a better burger in my life but nothing comes to mind right now because this thing was a juicy culinary masterpiece of bison and boar meat. Felicia gave me some of her fried smoke half chicken and it was equally amazing. Chicken smoked in house and given a special blend of spices. We couldn’t have been happier with the total dining experience here at ML Steak, including the ambiance. It’s the type of restaurant experience that has become rare today but needs to be experienced and celebrated. Bravo! We will be back!“
“Enoteca Sogno sets the bar for excellent Italian cuisine in Richmond. Tucked away in a nondescript building in Bellevue, this cozy, welcoming restaurant offers incredibly delightful Italian dishes and a robust wine list. I was DD but I heard great things about the Moscato wine. We ordered the robiola cheese to start, which came with their super lovely homemade bread. We needed a second helping of that. Even the olive oil was clearly high quality. For my meal, I opted for the crespelle pasta special, which was basically like a pasta crepe with spinach, bechamel, and cheese with marinara. It was so good and not sickeningly filling, which was an added plus. It let me save room for their lemon mascarpone cake for dessert! Service was prompt and friendly. I was glad we were able to score a table on a rainy Wednesday evening. For busier times, I'd definitely book a reservation.“
“I'm am so happy that Importante opened in Richmond! It's just what Richmond and Carytown needed. The owners are from Bilbao and are absolutely delightful. The servers were very attentive to my dietary restrictions and gave me wonderful options. The atmosphere is cozy and warm.I will definitely be frequenting Importante in the future!Dietary restrictions: Were very receptive to my dietary needs even though my restrictions are not common for this type of cuisine“
“I’ve loved going to Jardin occasionally for a glass of wine and a small charcuterie for the last few months. This evening I had the pleasure of working with a lovely wine-tender to pick the perfect bottle and WOW- she did not disappoint. Jardin makes fine wines (and knowledge on them) so accessible and fun! So grateful they’ve become a part of the Richmond restaurant scene. If you haven’t gone, you’re missing out.“
“We ate at La Grotta for the first time last night. It will be the first of many! The service, food, and ambiance were spectacular. We were a party of 3 and each of us cleaned our plates. Our friend with Celiac could choose from almost the entire menu which is unheard of, especially at an Italian restaurant. If you're looking for a truly delicious meal, you'll find it at La Grotta! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Excellent place to eat, I really like the service, Tara was super great, her service was excellent, they should have more staff like her, she gave us an excellent recommendation and was very friendly, the food was very delicious, the bread they offer is super fresh and the lobster tail was very delicious“
“The vegetable quiche I had was delicious-fluffy and rich and very satisfying! My friend had the cauliflower curry soup and she gave me a taste-it was superb! Creamy and the spice was spot on. We lingered at the table and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves'“
“My husband asked the bartender/head mixologist, Steve Yang, for a gin based dealer's choice and he made the most wonderful drink I've had in a long time. He called it "Some kind of wonderful" it had dill, yogurt, and some other stuff and tasted like some hard to find European candy. Awesome!“
“The food was good however a bit overrated. Ordered the salad which was good nothing extra special. Had the smoked chicken, was again good the gnocchi were a bit mushy could use more texture, they were more of a mashed potato. The chicken was hard to cut in the serving bowl it came in. Need to serve it in a more shallow plate. Deserts were slim pickings so didn't order any. Service was good but boy can he talk fast almost like he was on speed or cocaine. For such a specialized restaurant and considered higher end, need to have the bathrooms cleaner. So much dust and dirt on the baseboards and floors were not very clean which makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is. I may consider going back but not anytime soon.“
