“I definitely ate when I was in Kilmarnock, VA. This cafe was close to where family and I stayed for the weekend, and found this cafe. The staff were friendly and just a nice vibe. Usually I do not eat all my food, but I did that day! The food was really good and no take out box for me! Thanks for the great service and that hometown vibe!“

“This is a hometown, locally owned restaurant. It's a diner vibe with friendly staff, fresh made, home-cooked favorites and fast service. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty from fried Oysters, to turkey dinner, to chicken fried steak, to wings. Kids menu is great with fresh pizza. The dough is homemade. The special appetizer of Philly cheese steak egg rolls with a smoked hot pepper jam was fantastic! Now, let's talk about the pies! They are too much, in a good way! We tried 5 pies: keylime, coconut cream, lemon meringue, chocolate pecan and Reese peanut butter. Wow, wow, wow, they were all perfectly sweetened, beautifully decorated and soooooo fresh. The owner makes them fresh daily. We will be back!!!!!“

“Honestly wondering how this restaurant is still in business.Fresh food, prepared incredibly fast, served up by a staff that always seems happy, and at a very reasonable price while inflation for ingredients is through the roof.Something ain't lining up ?So thankful for this family and their restaurant. Becoming a regular. ♥“

“This is my favorite restaurant in town. Actually I can't think of many places that are better even when we go to the big city I love Casey's. Their food is great. The atmosphere is fun clean and I love everything about it. Hope you guys stay there for a long time.“

“I live locally and had to run “into town” for a few things. My husband and I decided to make an impromptu day date of the trip and stop somewhere for a bite together.I will admit, this was not our first choice, we actually checked out 2 different places on the Main Street strip but one was closed and the other was only carry out (they had 3 or 4 “tables” but they were literally the size of a small tire lol.)We finally settled on Donna’s and I’m so glad we did!I ordered a burger and fries, my husband ordered a crab cake sandwich and sweet potato fries. We also ordered hush puppies as an appetizer. As a Maryland native I am happy to say that the crab cake was amazing. NO FILLER and good sized for the price. The burger was more than I expected it to be, I was honestly fearful it would be a premade patty (which always seem to taste more like grease than beef) and I was happy to find out that I was worried for nothing. The burger was bigger than the bun and, according to the menu description, a half pound in weight (before cooking) and beyond tasty with the perfect crunchy sear!! My meal was $14, the crab cake was $20, and the hush puppies were $5 (for 10). We both ordered beverages and, while I’m not one to typically gush over unsweetened iced tea (always my beverage of choice at restaurants) the iced tea was PHENOMENAL! It actually tasted like what fresh iced tea bags smell like when you open the box (instead of dirty tea water like you find in most restaurants). All in all, I am so glad we ended up at Donna’s on main and, at a reasonable $40 for our meal, we will definitely be returning to experience more of the menu in the near future.“

“I love Dixie Deli’s chicken salad. It has amazing flavor, lasts a while if you decide to get pounds of it for a long work week, and it’s made fresh. I forgot to call and ask to see if they would have some available, so I messaged Dixie Deli, through messenger and the owner Grace, responded almost immediately and said she can see if she can get the items needed to make it the next day. Since she is the kind woman she is, she took the time to make a fresh batch of chicken salad in a short notice for me and others to enjoy. I recommend others to try Dixie Deli’s chicken salad and sandwiches, because you will not be disappointed. The owner Grace, is sweet, amazing, and always has been kind to me every-time I go into her restaurant.“

“It was a new find for us newcomers to the NNK. We followed the signs and were thrilled to find such a wonderful place on the water. The owner shared his story with us and the wait staff was so helpful and kind. My fried oysters were delicious. The appetizer of Philly steak egg rolls was tasty and unique. I had fun checking out the gift store. We will return since they're open in the winter. And we can't wait to join friends there and arrive on our boat. What an unexpectedly wonderful evening. Oh and their cranberry margaritas were pretty good too!!!!“

“The food was excellent and my server did a good job. However there were several people sitting at the bar that were drunk, loud and out of control. Some of them were employees. Their language was horrible and I ate my dinner as they loudly discussed women’s nipples. So inappropriate in a restaurant! If I ever return, it definitely won’t be for dinner if this is how the restaurant is allowed to operate. I ate my entire meal listening to ongoing cursing in every sentence and other vulgarities. If the food wasn’t so good I would have walked out. The owners need to take a long look at their staff before the full season starts or you’ll be loosing a lot of business.“
