“I had gone here for the first time and the Turkish food was amazing! The options were plentiful and I was able to customize my Istanbul platter with tzatziki sauce and add on extra pickles and try the lemonade before I purchased. It was very tasty. Food was gone before a picture was taken“

“Ottoman Kitchen catered an iftar dinner that our church hosted for Turkish friends. The doner was the best I’ve had. The salad was very nice, with no brown or wilted lettuce leaves. Everyone at our event seemed to comment on how delicious the food was. The amount of food was quite generous, so anyone who wanted seconds could refill their plates. Very well done!“

“Hello everyone! My name is Syed Anwar Hussain, and I'm sharing my experience at the best restaurant in the DC area. Today I went to the Bangladesh Embassy, and after I finished my embassy work, I started searching for a good restaurant in that area. Luckily, GPS found the restaurant. We went with my wife and my son, and we ordered three dishes. First, we ordered two dishes. We tasted the first two dishes; they were very delicious. Then we ordered another one. All three dishes were delicious. I really enjoy the delicious food. I have no words to describe how delicious the food is. I highly recommend this place.“

“East West Café at Tysons Corner truly lives up to its name. Its menu reflects Turkey’s unique position between East and West by offering a thoughtful mix of authentic Turkish dishes alongside Western-style sandwiches, salads, and burgers.
The atmosphere instantly evokes the feeling of an Istanbul café. The murals and warm décor create a space where dining feels relaxed, allowing you to enjoy good food and even better company. The staff is exceptionally attentive, often anticipating your needs before you even ask, which adds greatly to the overall experience.
The restaurant also provides a comfortable, designated area for hookah lovers. While I personally don’t enjoy the smell of hookah, it’s clear that they’ve made an effort to create a welcoming and safe space for those who do.
The food was genuinely impressive. The branzino was cooked to perfection—moist, flavorful, and paired with delicious vegetables. The Adana kebab was juicy and tender, served with bulgur pilaf (cracked wheat) and finely sliced raw onions with sumac. A particularly nostalgic touch was the complimentary nuts, apples, and oranges served alongside my friends’ wine—something I fondly remember from my days back in Turkiye.
Another major plus: East West Café is open until 2:00 AM, which is a rare and wonderful option in the Tysons area when most places are already closed. Their Turkish breakfast spread is generous and varied, and they also offer a wide range of lunch options.
Most importantly, we never felt rushed. My friends and I were able to truly enjoy our time, our conversations, and our meal at a relaxed pace.
Overall, it was a great dining experience“

“I stopped by Taste of Istanbul this afternoon for the first time. For the most part it was really good. I ordered a potato pide, 2 doner kebab, mixed meze, and pistachio baklava. Everything was delicious except for the”baklava”, which turned out to be two greasy dough cylinders. No phyllo, no honey, no pistachio filling. I was disappointed that I wasted $7.00 for inedible dough I ended up throwing in the garbage. Get the kebabs, stay away from their version of baklava.“
