Would not recommend bringing your kids here as you’ll get lots of eye rolls and passive aggressive attitudes towards your children. Also asked for a replacement Thai iced tea after mine came with coconut milk and was supposed to be half and half and serve was very clearly frustrated and offered zero resolution other than “being out of half and half so that’s all we can do”. Will just order carry out next time so we don’t have to deal with the poor service.“

“We came on a Saturday night for dinner. It was a bit unclear if you were to seat yourself or not, and the service was a bit slow due to how busy the bar was since a live band was starting soon. However, our experience overall was excellent.The biscuit is probably the best biscuit I've had at a restaurant, ever. Absolutely recommend. We tried three flavors of wings and all thought the gochujang was the most outstanding. The pinto beans, pickles, slaw, and chicken quesadilla were all flavorful and solid. We loved everything we tried.“

All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. “It's a dive bar where most people know each other's names. That's what makes it a staple in the community over there. One pool table so if you want some competition, go at night. Not really known for their food, it's a dive bar 🤷🏾. Nice people but if you're sensitive, just don't go lol“

“We had a small wedding reception at OCB and while I would recommend it as a venue, I’d also recommend writing down exact details of what you want the event to go like. I don’t know if we ended up with inexperienced staff or just an odd night, but nothing really went like it should have. We were told two bartenders but there was only one, they didn’t seem to know when to bring out the food even though we said it was an open buffet, we asked them to serve slices of a cake from the back and instead they just placed it on a tray in the front and our guests had to slice and serve themselves. Every time we met with Bill he reassured us they’d done so many events and wedding there that they had it down pat, but it definitely didn’t seem like they did. On the whole, I’m still glad we had our reception there. The venue is awesome and the food is amazing! I’ve always heard great things about people using them as catering at other venues.“

“Been a regular of Bryant’s for about a year. Every experience I have had has been chill and I felt very comfortable with the bartenders and vibe very quickly. They specialize in brut dry cider with a great selection of different flavors. They have options for people who prefer a sweeter cider. There is ways to spruce it up. Yummy cider daiquiris in the summer. I loved Bryant’s so much since my move to Richmond I just recently was hired on as a bartender. This place made me wanna stay. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves cider and a good atmosphere with a cool aesthetic 🖤“

“Ive visited twice, to see local cover band Bombshell. They seem to be ironing out some kinks still as they are fairly new. The first time the space in front of the stage was crowded with tables, which they stacked by the stage around the skeeball area. The second time they'd moved the skeeball and set the tables up in that area so there was still places to sit and eat. The back area (front, I guess since its by the entrance, has a large patio space, with garage doors that open to connect the inside and outside spaces. I havent experienced much of the food, but what I did have, pizza, was good. The bathrooms are right inside the entrance and can have long lines. The venue is disabled/wheelchair accessible.
*safety: parking is not easy, but not the venues fault, obviously. But there are tons of security both inside and outside the building. The outside is well lit, both the entertainment area and the sidewalk. Security is constantly moving around and checking exits and people.“

“My husband asked the bartender/head mixologist, Steve Yang, for a gin based dealer's choice and he made the most wonderful drink I've had in a long time. He called it "Some kind of wonderful" it had dill, yogurt, and some other stuff and tasted like some hard to find European candy. Awesome!“

They have a flexible, and diverse menu and they were very patient with me as we tried to find a good combination of offerings for our group. Try the mac n cheese....Divine! Food was all delicious. “We were in Richmond 8 years ago and dined at Rappahannock and remember that meal and the cocktail and the wonderful experience fondly, One of the cocktails from that visit has become our own personal bar favorite. ( thank you to the mixologist that year for sharing the recipe) We put rappahannock on our list of places to return to when we were scheduled to return to Richmond.
