“My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience here! He got the elderflower spritz and I got a sangria. We also ordered a few tapas (started digging in before snapping a photo because it all looked too good)! Everything was absolutely delicious. Drinks were perfectly made, the presentation of the food was beautiful, and service was outstanding! Perfect spot for a date night or just grabbing drinks and tapas with friends!! “Celladora was something else entirely.

From the moment we stepped inside, we felt an unexpected mix of comfort and awe. The space is small, just four tables, but it carries a presence that’s artistic, warm, intimate, and quietly electric. They were running a little behind, but it didn’t feel like a delay. Vinny, our incredible server, welcomed us with glasses of chilled rosé, and time instantly slowed in the best way.

What followed was a food experience that felt intentional, layered, and full of soul.

We began with the charcuterie board, trusting their recommended cheeses and meats. Each bite was perfectly curated. The ceviche arrived bright and vibrant, filled with cilantro, Peruvian peppers, and a burst of sweet citrus. The Caesar salad, made with frisée, was a bold and refreshing take on the classic. The pasta with sausage, kale, and pecorino was delicate yet full of flavor, with a beautiful balance of lightness and spice. The pork larb, which I didn’t try due to dietary restrictions, was a favorite at the table; sweet, gingery, and ridiculously delicious.

Then came the dish that truly stopped me: the beef tartare. Herby, bursting with spices like cinnamon, cumin, and just a hint of cardamom. It was rich, memorable, and entirely unique. Paired with ultra-thin pita crackers, it left me speechless. I tried to savor it slowly, but it was impossible not to fall in fast.

When it came to wine, we shared the flavor profiles we typically enjoy with our server. Vinny returned with two perfect selections, each more spot-on than the last. We happily took both to say the least!

Dessert was a blueberry cake with a berry sumac whip. Simple, light, and the sweetest ending to an unforgettable meal.

“Tried the Stanley’s Cheesesteak - it was delicious! And big. I could only eat half and took the other half home. I was disappointed in the $3 add for fries, so just went with the chips, which I believe were just your average Lay’s potato chips on the plate. Service was kind, but also forgetful/got our order mixed up - for instance, I wanted the regular, full experience Stanley’s cheesesteak and my friend wanted the same with no peppers, and both came out with no peppers. My friend had asked for a box and never received the box, and the server took up the plate and tossed his other half. Lots of flies roaming around in the dining area. All in all, good sandwich but subpar experience otherwise.“

“I snuck by while my wife was running a wine event elsewhere. Very good Neapolitan pizza...I got pepporoni as I always do for comparison purposes. Crust was thin, chewy, and had the requisite scorch bubbles with a flavorful sauce a cup pepporoni. It was happy hour so this entire pizza and a glass of wine (cab franc for me) was just $20. The wine list has some good variety, but don't expect what Somms might go crazy over. Things are priced to be approachable, and that's not a bad thing--it's just a niche. Music was perfect volume and helped complete the atmosphere...kind of a trendy vibe without being pure pop or jazz. 5 stars. Check the hours before you come...it's basically 5-9 W-Sa and 3-7 Sa too...thats's it...but they're working on getting more.“

“Truly enjoyable meal in a great neighborhood restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service excellent. We enjoyed a lovely cauliflower appetizer, a beautiful, simple fresh salad. “My husband asked the bartender/head mixologist, Steve Yang, for a gin based dealer's choice and he made the most wonderful drink I've had in a long time. He called it "Some kind of wonderful" it had dill, yogurt, and some other stuff and tasted like some hard to find European candy. Awesome!“

“We ate at La Grotta for the first time last night. It will be the first of many! The service, food, and ambiance were spectacular. We were a party of 3 and each of us cleaned our plates. Our friend with Celiac could choose from almost the entire menu which is unheard of, especially at an Italian restaurant. “We have been to Southern Kitchen times, all visits have been great. Our server, Shuka (?), was great! She was very attentive, pleasant and informative. We asked her for time between courses, which she supplied. We started with fried okra (lightly battered) fantastic and salmon bites ( a lttle fishy). Our meals - Pork chop, stuffed flounder, and catfish both fried and blackened were prepared perfectly. All sides were yummy, candies sweet potatoes, sweet potato fries, collars, fried cabbage and green beans.
