Our friend with Celiac could choose from almost the entire menu which is unheard of, especially at an Italian restaurant. “Today Amuse is getting 4 stars instead of the usual 5. We showed up to our reservation 10 minutes early and could not be seated at our table (which was available) because the kitchen was busy. ?? Once we got seated had been approached by the waitress (who was quite busy) for our food order, we had to ask her to come back because we had not have time with our cocktail and decide on our meal. We ordered the duck breast and the New York strip steak. Both were of the excellent quality and tasty that we have come to expect here. However neither dish was hot except for the French fries. It seems that Amuse all around were having timing issues and not handling the pressures of lunch service. Had this been our fist visit, we would have second thoughts about coming back.“

A homeless lady walked in, inquiring about the price of a dish. When she learned it was beyond her reach, she turned to leave. That’s when Franklin, an employee whose compassion seems as boundless as his professionalism, stepped in. Without a second thought, he personally covered the cost of her meal. It wasn’t just about the food—it was a profound display of genuine respect and humanity.

The steak itself was sublime—perfectly cooked and seasoned to highlight its quality. Every other aspect of the service was equally impressive, reflecting the same standard of excellence Franklin showed.

It’s rare to see such authentic servant leadership; Franklin’s gesture not only made a difference to that lady's day but also deepened my appreciation for this establishment. I wholeheartedly support Franklin and the steakhouse for embodying true hospitality. Though it’s not feasible for acts like these to happen every day, it’s refreshing to see real heart in action.

“Food was very good. Waitstaff and bar very good too. The weak point was the kitchen unable to get our 4 meals out at the same time. 3 separate trips close to 10 minutes apart. Very awkward time for us waiting to begin eating. If they can sort that out, it could be a very fine place to dine out.“

“So it took us a while to try this place because we thought it was just egg stuff. Hahaa! To our surprise, there's so much more! One day we went to Latitude Seafood Co at Stony Point Fashion Park and they were super busy and it was pretty loud that day. (I have a review for there too) Anyway, we decided to try Eggspectation since it was right across the way in walking distance. We were so glad we tried something new!! Our waitress was wonderful, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and our food was absolutely delicious!! We have now put this place in our rotation of restaurants! While they also have outdoor seating, we have yet to sit outside. The inside is really cute and comfortable and the menu has a good selection for everyone. Don't pass up on walking through Stony Point either. Several other restaurants and stores are located there. But this particular place should most definitely be on your "must try" list! It's so good!!“
