“Mom's is the place to go to for pie (If you arent baking one yourself, that is). They always have a great selection. Get there fairly early if you are looking for something specific, but honestly, any of them are good. But mom's sells more than pies. If you want to get a sandwich, craft beer, local food products, wine; Mom's is the place for you. Selection may vary between stores. The store in Round Hill, along Rt7 (westbound side) had a wide variety, and as always, friendly service.“

I asked if he was the manager he said he was the owner. It really shows n this situation how the owner handles himself. If you could get a zero star he would get it. With over 500 reviews I rarely give a 1 star but this year it goes to the owner of this restaurant. My fair and honest reviews speak for themselves. As a business owner myself in the service industry as well as I use to own 4 food franchises owners should realize their word and communication is the most valuable asset. “I visited Cassanel for the first time in December 2022 it was the last of 4 wineries I visited that day. Long overdue review shame on me. Some friends and myself like going to different wineries every time we have a chance and I honestly been coming back to Cassanel more than any other winery I thought I liked before. Let's begin with the staff, the amazing people who works here always welcome everyone with an amazing smile and warmth atmosphere. Theresa was the first person I meet and she is beyond amazing. Such a beautiful human being. Never been a wine person because always end up with that one wine super dry and strong flavor that I couldn't drink. The have not one wine that I can say I didn't like....but do have my favorites José Rosé and Dolce 😍😍 Yesterday (June 26, 2023) had the opportunity to meet Mr. José who's been with them for over 12 years and takes amazing care of the grapes, then got to meet Mr. Nelson (the owner) he is a wonderfu man and full fo good vibes. We had a wonderful conversation full laugh and now I understand why this winery is so amazing. 100% recommend, wines are delicious and affordable.“

“We stayed two nights at the Red Fox Inn while celebrating our 46th Wedding Anniversary. The Orange County room in the original historic building was cozy, spacious and well-appointed. The bed was really comfortable and the sitting room was perfect for sipping champagne and wine at night or enjoying the box breakfast and coffee in the morning. We were not disappointed with our room selection for our stay in Middleburg. Our stay was wonderful and a memorable experience. The tavern bar is also small and cozy but does not open until 4:30 PM. Only one disappointment was that The Tavern Inn no longer offers lunch and their dinners are limited to a rather pricey $125 per person 4-course meal offering since the ala carte menu was discontinued a while back. Without the ability to choose from a wider and more reasonably priced menu selection, we chose to eat elsewhere in Middleburg during our stay.“

“This winery is great if you are looking for a good wine and peaceful place. It’s small but it has a great atmosphere. Their wines are excellent! I love their wine and chocolate praline tasting. We like this place for birthday parties as well as it’s usually not too crowded. Their outdoor is large with many places to sit. The indoor is small with just few tables. But as I mentioned, most of their members typically pick up their wines to go so it’s never an issue to find a spot to sit. The only negative thing I can say is that my kids don’t love going there because it’s not much to do for them, and the parking lot could use a bit of love. But we are members for about 6+ years and we truly like their wines. My family makes wines in Slovakia and I took them there as well and they enjoyed their wines a lot as well!“

“Looking for a great breakfast / lunch / dinner spot? Look no frother than the Purcellville Pub. Driving through the area around lunch time and saw a review about the Fish & Chips and had to stop and verify. And no doubt - great crispy Fish & Chips. 2 large filets with basket of fries. I was really, really good. We also tried the Barrel Burger and the BBQ sauce with crispy bacon and fried onions was very good as well. We left full bummed it’s a location we might only get to once. So glad we did.“

“I recently celebrated my birthday at The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I reached out to Susan, their coordinator, I knew we were in great hands. She was incredibly responsive, professional, and accommodating—especially considering we had a large group.

The vineyard itself was beautiful and welcoming. We had such a great time enjoying the delicious wines—each one we tried was truly tasty and well-crafted. The charcuterie baskets were a hit too: generous portions, beautifully arranged, and full of flavor.

To top it all off, there was live music by Chris, which created the perfect atmosphere for a fun and relaxed afternoon. The entire team was so warm and friendly, and they made the experience feel special from start to finish.

“You cannot beat the view at Stone Tower Winery. I photographed a wedding this August at this venue and it felt like I was transported to the Tuscany countryside.

The staff was a breeze to work with. They were professional and were very helpful anytime I had questions or needed a golf cart ride to the other side of the property.

The hall is decorated in such a way that you can really do any color scheme or style in that room. It is neutral enough while also feeling modern and warm.

“My first time here, but this is the best place I’ve eaten in a very, very long time. My family of 4 Adults and four little children all had a great Dinner here. The service was fantastic even though they were down to one Chef, one waitress and one bartender. If this were American Idol, I’d hit the Golden Buzzer. By the way, aside from the great Dinners, the Fiery Mussels were to die for. Best I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty of them.….. to include famous Berthas at Fels Point, in Baltimore.“

“M’kay, so Doukenie Winery is actually a really nice place to spend the day, m’kay. The customer service was super friendly and welcoming, and they had a really good selection of tasty wines. The whole property is peaceful as heck, m’kay — amazing mountain views, lots of trees, an old silo, a pond with ducks and geese waddling around, all that good stuff.

Jeremy gave us a small bag of bird feed, and pretty soon the geese showed up with all their little babies to eat, m’kay. It was honestly one of the most relaxing things ever. There’s plenty of seating everywhere, like picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, so you can just sit back and chill out. The winery is perched against the mountainside, super quiet and serene, with lots of parking and plenty of space so it never feels crowded.

There’s also a nice little gravel trail around the pond if you want to walk around and take in the scenery, m’kay. Overall, highly recommended for a relaxing getaway day, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.“
