“The best lemon tarts ever and amazing rum cake“

“This bakery is phenomenal! We first discovered it years ago when vacationing in Williamsburg. They were at the farmers market and there was a very long line! We bought several pastries and everything was delicious! When we heard they opened a store front in Petersburg, we knew we had to stop by. It’s about 90 minutes from our house so we don’t get a chance to stop by often. When we travel south, we make a point to stop and get some delicious pastries! This time, we were heading to Myrtle beach for a week and did a pre-order to make sure we’d get what we wanted as they often sell out. When we arrived, the staff was so friendly and had our order ready. We decided at eat breakfast there and it was perfect! I had a chai tea and quiche! Delicious!! We took our goodies and went on our way to Myrtle beach. The next morning, we went to our hotels breakfast and I took one of the chocolate croissants from buttery baking house. These croissants are straight from a French bakery! You can see all of the layers, like a croissant should be. As I was sitting there enjoying this delicious croissant, other hotel guests saw me and did a double take wondering where I got the croissant. They came up to me and asked, hoping to find these type of croissants nearby. I’ve been to bakeries all over the country when we travel and I have not found a better bakery! The time, dedication and love Buttery Baking House puts into each item they make is so appreciated! If you are looking for the best pastries and are in the Petersburg area, you have to stop at Buttery Baking House. They aren’t open every day and often sell out each day so check their schedule. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Buyer beware! I went today to get a Boston Cream donut. And I ordered two one with cream and one without. BUT what I got was a donut with icing inside?? I went back inside and told the server that I had a Boston with icing. He said he was sorry but that’s what they are today!!!! Sad to order one thing and get another! Just saying. Just.“

“Okay so the cookies were to DIE FOR! The chocolate chip cookie alone was delish! All the options were great as well. It's a cute little shop, it's small but you don't feel cramped at all. Customer service was a little rocky though. Every question I had seemed to be a nuisance. I get it was a busy weekend but the customer(s) shouldn't have to feel as if they are doing something wrong. But as I said, the desserts were AMAZING, just could've had nicer service.“

“Ordered a gender reveal cake last minute notice. The cake was not only beautiful in presentation, but the taste of the cake was phenomenal. You can tell the love that she puts into her work. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs or wants a real homemade cake. I will be reaching out to her again for my specialty cake needs.“

“I was looking for someone to make a butterscotch pie for my father-in-law for his birthday. It's something his mother would always do, but sadly she passed away this year. The idea came to me basically last minute, and I had about a week or so to search around and see if it would even be possible. I reached out to Micá and she responded within a day saying she would love to! Besides her being so sweet and accommodating on such short notice, she even delivered the pie to me! My father-in-law said the pie was the best part of his birthday. Thank you so much again Micá, I will definitely be reaching out again!“

“I ordered a German chocolate cake and boy was it great. The presentation and services I received were on point. This cake was a birthday cake and everyone enjoyed it. I appreciate making this a memorable experience for the birthday boy.“

“The "OPEN" sign was off, so I wasn't sure they were open, but I saw people at the register, so I went in. They said the sign was broken.
There wasn't much stock. They said the truck didn't come today.

“Love these pretzels you could find this franchise in the majority of all malls. I just have a complaint about the dipping sauce prices as it isnt posted or listed with the prices of the pretzels. The cost is expensive even for a small cup not budget friendly“

“I rushed in, last minute and same day needing a savior. These ladies showed me options, I created what I wanted and they brought it to life in less than 6 hours! I slightly dropped it so it shifted on the plate, it still got tons of compliments and was DELICIOUS!!!“

“We had some extra time on our hands, so we stopped in. We were surprised to find Keto bread there at less than half the regular store prices. We saw several items that looked good. Service was good. The store was well stocked and clean.“

“La comida aquí es sabrosa, buena, buenísima. Las Alcapurrias tienen un sabor riquísimo. El Mofongo suavecito y con un delicado sabor a ajo y si lo combinas con Pernil de cerdo, te chuparás los dedos. Los Sorullitos de maíz, muy perfectos para ser hechos en casa y acompañados con el mayoketchup o salsa tropical, son exquisitos acabados de hacer, calientitos. El estacionamiento se les quedó pequeño. El lugar es muy fácil de encontrar. El salón es muy amplio aunque algo frío y no necesariamente por el AC. No recuerdo ninguna decoración en particular y éso me asombró. Esperaba algo más pintoresco, más colorido, más caribeño. Con la excepción del joven que habla entre dientes y la señora apurada, la chica de la caja es bastante atenta. Una 2nda persona al frente sirviendo las órdenes no vendría mal. Al final necesité mi ticket y tuvimos que abrir la puerta para que sonara la campanita y notaran que esperábamos. Y por último sí, sí volvería a éste lugar de comida sabrosa nuevamente a probar lo que olvidé la 1era vez.“
