“We had dinner here. This ambiance is awesome, but atmosphere is little dull. May be because Wednesday night. Service is good. Food is good, but not like extremely good and hence giving 4 stars. We ordered jalapeño margarita and Bahama Mama. Both drinks are excellent. I wish they put in less ice cubes.“

Staff always welcome us and portions seem average.Do wish they'd have larger salsa cups, filling 8 cups seems like a lot of waste for our family of 4. “I low key kind of want to gate keep this place but I also want to see them succeed. This is a true family owned and operated spot dishing out some of the best Latin American food in the area. Birria Tacos and the carne asada steak platter are our go-to picks but everything they make here is solid.“

“The people here are just plain awesome and only their food outshines their awesomeness!We have lunch here at least once a week and El Fresco has never failed to deliver.It is Tex-Mex food made with the absolute freshest of ingredients. We swear you can taste the sunshine in the tomatoes used for the many varieties of salsa. Salsa that comes free with a huge helping of the best chips anywhere.We can vouch for anything shrimp having had both the shrimp quesadillas and the handheld shrimp burritos. Both of these are stuffed with fantastic shrimp and the very best of ingredients. (The burrito the winner of any we have ever had and we have had dozens!) All the proteins are of exceptional quality; pork, chicken, steak, etc.The nachos are in a category by themselves -- A delicious monster size helping which we swore we could not finish but oh, look -- we did!There is a terrific lunch menu which runs until the unusual hour of 4:00 p.m. which accommodates us workaholics who will suddenly look at the clock and realize lunch time has passed!We have not had anything of less than stellar quality in the dozens of times we have eaten here.The restaurant is always found in pristine condition as the manager personally takes the time to clean up on a regular basis; you can tell he takes pride in both the facility and the food.NVCC students take note: El Fresco is directly across the street from campus and it offers a 15% discount for students. Such a deal; we wish we were still in school!Please give El Fresco a try as the food is the best Tex-Mex to be found anywhere in the area.“

Steve and his team do a wonderful job here consistently putting out quality food at a reasonable price. If you're looking for Tex-Mex food look no further. They've expanded their menu in recent years and the new offerings are as good as the classics. “Got the Mango Habanero Shrimp. They are delicious. if you like spicy food and shrimp it's a must have. Got Fish taco's and Veggie Fajitas as our meals and both were very good. For desert had to try in my mind the staples, Flan and Tres Leches. They were delicious. My friend never tried Tres Leches and now he can't wait to have it again now.only issue was the other customers can be very loud. It's like a family type place with the atmosphere they have. the waiters and waitresses as well as the customers just get along. It's a very good place.I definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again.“

“This is the peak of food in Northern Virginia. In such an unassuming place, a supermarket food court, lies the best tacos I've ever had. The fusion blending of Asian and Mexican lends itself so well to not only the store, but the food itself, with some of the most flavorful dishes I've had. Not to mention how generous the portions are. A place like bartaco will charge $5/per taco for something the size of your palm, but Taco Chinoz, for the same price, will grant you a loaded full sized taco. The quality cannot be understated either, with all the ingredients being fresh from the supermarket itself. The service is especially nice, and I've come by after class so often (since it's right next to my college campus) that I've become familiar with the woman who owns and runs the place. Furthermore, this business has just opened a new location just off Mathis Street, and I'm excited to see even more from this little store. “Walked here with family from a near-by hotel. My daughter (age 7) said she's going to be moving here someday just to order the kids burrito every day. I don't usually indulge in frozen margaritas so glad that I did here because it was delicious! Spacious, clean and not loud made this an exceptional family friendly restaurant.“

“Uncle Jalapeño’s was so good. Karan our waiter was so nice and the manager on duty stopped by to say hello. All the staff was so friendly and the food was so good. The paneer tikka tacos, the nachos and the chicken tandoori burrito (forgot to get a pic before the Mister dug into it) were all phenomenal. And I’m obsessed with their salsa. You can get straight forward Mexican or Mexican/Indian fusion. Yum!!!!!“

“This hole in the wall did not disappoint! I couldn’t read the menu in Spanish but I was assisted in clear English which was helpful and I ordered what was recommended for my hankerings. The beef tacos seemed traditional Mexican style and they were so tasty! I got 3 to the order that were very filling. I’m fairly certain the tortillas were hand made, they certainly tasted fresh and homemade with something like pico & beef inside, topped with radish and cucumber, side of lime and the best sauce. So good! I wish I’d taken a pic because the presentation was nice. I ordered tamales to go and will have them later. They were wrapped very well and kept warm while I sat to eat. It smells delicious. I’m not local or I’d return.“

“I love Anita's for Taco Tuesday. The server was kind enough to help me with my Spanish and deserves a raise. I had to explain to our server in Spanish that my friend, Emma Hammersley, was going to have a birthday and they immediately brought out a small dessert. “Pretty good food. One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. The Carnitas tacos were really good, as was the Pollo Veracruz. 5 stars for their hot suace. I'm talking about the stuff that came with my tacos and the habanero sauce you have to ask for. The salsa that's comes with the chips is really good too, not hot, but very flavorful.I'll be back. There are several other items on the menu I want to try.Parking: Plenty of parking in the lot between their building and the Wegmans or between Lazy Dog and Habit Burger.“

I found this small restaurant with majestic, original, typical taste. It was a general consensus that the food was amazing. Everyone ate more than one plate. We bring our toddler here and we are always greeted with smiles and excellent service. “Giving 4 stars because I had one of the absolute best steak quesadillas I’ve ever had here a week or two ago. I went back today but it seems they switched the meat and I am not sure how to feel about it… :( also there’s a blob of mayonnaise in place of sour cream. Maybe an off day?“

“My wife and I each had the 2-enchilada combo (chicken and spinach), which was very good. The spinach enchilada was particularly tasty, having apparently been made from fresh spinach. Yum! The chips and salsa that preceded it were also very tasty. The only disappointing part of the meal were the Patron Margaritas we ordered. Not only were they very small for a $15 price tag, but they tasted like pure lime juice, with little hint of any tequila let alone Patron. Granted, good margaritas are hard to find, but they didn't even appear to be trying in this case. Otherwise, a good meal and a friendly staff.“

The highlight of our meal was the molcajete texano, a generously portioned dish recommended by our waitress, which was delicious and ample enough to satisfy two or even three people. However, be prepared to order extra sides like tortillas, rice, and beans if sharing among a group. The restaurant offers reasonable prices and benefits from the ample parking available at the mall, making it easily accessible. On the downside, the service was a bit lacking; our waitress didn't check on us as often as we would have liked. “This Pupusas Express is one of my go-to dine in spots in Herndon. The team here is always attentive at helping out. The wings are super crispy and well seasoned without additional sauce. “I definitely had a memorable dining experience at this Uncle Julio's. I ordered the carnitas fajitas and ate the whole jalapeno not thinking it was gonna be sooooo hot (because majority of the places I have been to that served jalapenos have not served spicy hot jalapenos). It definitely packed a punch and made me cry at the bar! Kudos to the bartender who acted like I wasn't just bawling while eating my carnitas. She also kept the chips and salsa coming and my drink filled, while I was waiting for my entree (which wasn't really that long of a wait). Service was for sure top notch.The complementary chips and salsa were pretty good. The carnitas fajitas and everything that came with it were delicious and flavorful. I would've liked more lime crema over it, but it was still pretty great. The portions are pretty good: as hungry as I was, I had to take some home (which is good for me for a midnight snack sometimes!). The restaurant can get loud, depending on who's dining close to you, where you are seated and the day/time it is. I came in on a Thursday night and sat at the bar fairly close to a big group of diners who were enjoying their night with a few drinks, so it was fairly loud, but I didn't mind. They were all animatedly talking about something and a couple of them had some entertaining takes on the subject. It's part of the dining experience! LOL.I enjoyed my dining experience at Uncle Julio's and will definitely come back.“

“I come here as often as I'm passing by. Best to order ahead to avoid a wait, especially during lunch times. It helps to be able to speak Spanish, more so if you order ahead.I'm all about the burrito del asada. The steak inside the burrito keeps with a crispy outer crunch even when everyone else in there should make it soggy. I do see what everyone else is getting and it also looks delicious.Bang for your buck, this is where it's at. Only downside, if anything, is there are only two picnic tables and all outdoor. However, if you're looking for a place to eat on a rainy day, come here anyway and find somewhere else to eat it.Parking: Lunch time is crowded but you can park at the gas station nextdoor while you wait.“

The nachos are 2nd to none with plenty of toppings, real cheese, melted in broiler and really tasty.
